I had such a great experience at this beauty supply store! The lady working there was incredibly kind and helpful. She took the time to answer all my questions and helped me find exactly what I needed. Her friendly attitude made the whole experience so much better. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this store to anyone looking for excellent customer service and quality products!

I tried not to give one star but it wouldn't allow. Lord knows I could not wait to leave this review! I am NOT a fan of patronizing beauty supply stores that are not African American owned, and the Asian lady with the glasses is the exact reason why.
My granddaughter needed her hair done, so I said I will do it before she returns home, so we headed to the beauty supply store in my neighborhood. We went in and picked the hair, which was overpriced, and a texturizer. I wanted to price compare with Walmart to get the best price, BUT! I have a big purse and they think all Black people are thieves for some reason, so I waited until I got to the front to check.
My granddaughter saw a cute key chain, so we were looking at it, and the lady starts summoning me to come on and check out. The store is open for business for another two hours, so I ignored her calls because we were still shopping until we were finished shopping,
but she continued. We stepped over and I put the hair on the counter and she snatched it, so I stepped back and did my Walmart comparison and made her wait. I pushed the other product over to her and she snatched it, too, so I asked her if she was alright, and she barked her response rudely and gave me my total. I took my sweet time to pay her.
Let me educate my people because we should not even be patronizing these stores in 2024 when we can support other black businesses EVEN THOUGH IT MAY COST A LITTLE MORE. See, the difference in price is equal to our dignity. I would have walked out if this were not last minute and dealt with my Black businesswoman. When we walked out of the door, my granddaughter asked if I noticed that the lady had a bad attitude. I let her know that's why I asked if she was okay. If my granddaughter was not with me, I would have matched her disdain and left her with a piece of my mind instead of any of my money.
These stores are making their very existence in black neighborhoods. We are almost 100% of their business. They do NOT put any money back into our neighborhoods, they just take our money back to their neighborhoods and keep it there where it circulates in their local economy time and time again. Now, with them being vertically integrated, they are making a killing off of every one. This would be fine IF they did anything to thank you, us, ethnic people for feeding their families, no scholarships, barbeque (lol), nothing.
Then they have their beauty supply association which strategically places them in our neighborhoods to take our money even though they think we are all thieves (you know that is why they don't want you to bring a bag and they follow you around. I even had a guy snatch my purse and look in it and apologize.) That was my last time...years ago. No more disrespectful attitude towards me and then take MY hard earned money. AGAIN, we are almost 100% of THEIR business...THEIR income; dad owns the factory overseas that makes the hair, sends it to son or daughter at the warehouse when it gets here, then brother or sister sells it in the store. Do you know how much mark up is? Almost nothing because of this. That is why black beauty supply businesses are more expensive, because we have to pay more at the warehouse to get it. PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND SUPPORT BLACK BUSINESS AND SHUT THESE RACIST ESTABLISHMENTS DOWN WHO TREAT US BAD AND STILL GET OUR MONEY BECAUSE THEY MAY BE CHEAPER! Let's drive them to other neighborhoods. They will not survive anywhere, or they will have to, at least, fix their attitudes and learn to smile, grit their teeth and bare it until they are in their secret meeting places (like we have ALWAYS had to do) if we box them out. Nothing from nothing is nothing! They deserve that if they cannot be decent and respect WHO THEIR dollar is coming from, especially if this is how they eat. Let's make conscious decisions to empower our own people and be very intentional about it.

I will not give them any more of my business, I purchased a bundle of hair to add to my sewi-in. One of the young ladies help me pick it out the bundle. When I got home I opened it to start using it. Once I got into the light I noticed the color was #1 and didn’t match the 1B hair that I was wearing. I put it back in the pack with the string around the top but I couldn’t get the twist tie back around it. I returned the next day with the original receipt in the bag with the hair inside the sleeve. I’m guessing the lady was the owner but I asked to exchange the hair for a 1B and with and attitude she said no “because you opened it so now I can’t sell it”. I explained that her workers helped me pick the hair plus the hair was in excellent condition, what do you mean you can’t sell it? This lady repeated the same words as before with an attitude like I came in there looking for trouble. I told her I won’t shop their again, she said fine with me. Her behavior showed me just how confused she is to think that black people will continue to patronize her like we have no choice. Well guess what, we do. I went home and ordered what I needed from Amazon where I can return things if I’m not happy.

I have never seen reviews this low for a beauty supply store ever. My experience wasn’t as bad as everyone else’s, nobody was necessarily rude to me however with that being said it was still pretty bad. Almost every single useful item in the store is tagged. Can’t blame them I know crime is pretty high. Having to remember where all the items you want are located so you don’t feel like you’re wasting their time when they have to come from behind the counter to grab the item for you is a little tedious. I felt bad because I had to keep ask multiple times for them to do so. My first time visiting was okay. The selection is pretty bad so I grabbed what I could. The lightskin girl was helpful..enough. My second time really threw me off. The brown girl just seems nice nasty. She was helpful grabbing my items and almost handed them to me but immediately snatched them up and told me she’ll hold them at the register. Mind you this didn’t happen the first time so maybe they follow their own individual protocols, but I definitely felt like she was profiling me. All eyes are on you when you enter why would I even think about taking a $3 head scarf? Idk. There were two people in there who were observing they could have possibly owned the store. Which leads me to believe that’s the reason she treated me the way she did. Overall my experience was lack luster probably won’t be back. If you need something quick maybe this could work for you.

Go somewhere else these people are rude as hell. Trying to charge a minimum to use a debit card is criminal. The lady just shrugged her shoulders when I asked why there was a minimum.I didn’t need anything else. Businesses are prohibited from doing this but I guess they’re making their own rules. I left without purchasing anything and won’t return. There’s a bigger and better beauty supply on Highway 20 in McDonough if anyone is near by.

This is the worst place I've ever been to the white lady there is very rude and she kept on playing with me she curssed at me then I bought 3 things and she made me pay for something else and kept adding stuff and I payed 30 because she kept adding things and said if I don't pay for it she will call the police and then she kicked me out and closed the door and locked it and flicked me off and I just walked off. 1 star rating

Why would the owner answer the phone and response? She doesn’t know what they have in the store? If you don’t know, ask someone else who does know! And didn’t even try to ask someone else for assistance. She just replied she don’t know… You just lost a sale ma’am.

I will not be shopping here again. I purchased a jar of gel yesterday and when I got home I noticed that it was the wrong one. I returned the following day to exchange it and the lady told me I couldn’t because it was “opened.”This was such an inconvenience because that gel I bought doesn’t work for my 4C hair. Shop somewhere else ya’ll.
