My first visit to this City Mill location. The store is much larger than the Waianae location. I walked in the store and within two minute found an employee to ask where I could find an item-then the employee offered to take me over to the department where the item was located. I asked the employee in the garden shop where an item was and it was in the store. The employee gave me the isle and location as to where the item could be. All employees were extremely friendly and helpful.

2024 review: The experience I just had with this store is my last! The cashier, Luz, was rude, unprofessional, confrontational, and lacked any semblance of aloha. It was simply "I'm right, and you are wrong." They made the mistake of having an ad up a day old but wouldn't honor the price. The ironic thing, too, is that she admitted she was the person to take down all the ads that morning and missed the one right in front of the tool department. Now, instead of $94.00 and X amount of profit, they get absolutely nothing. I work in the auto parts retail and wholesale business as part of the management team. We always honor any pricing discrepancies of the same type I just encountered. We would rather have a happy, repeat customer than lose valuable clientele. Especially in this day and age. Also, the sad thing is I've been going to the original store that was in Waipahu for over 20 + years and always supported them being a local business for over 100 years. Instead of going to their Aiea location that is right next to my job, I live in Waipahu and would drive out to Ewa to support them versus the other home improvement stores. Sadly, that won't be happening anymore.

Jason at the Ewa Beach location was very helpful! I called to verify if they had the specific part (fluorescent lampholder) I was looking for to avoid wasting time. When I called, I asked for the lighting dept. Jason verbally confirmed they carried it and then voluntarily went in person to ensure it was in stock. He told me which isle I could find it (10B). When arrived minutes later, the isle was overwhelming with 50+ little drawers filled with nuts, bolts and other misc. stuff. I walked myself over to the lighting section where I found Jason and explained I was the one who had just called and couldn't find it. He walked me back there and pulled out the drawer and showed me the variety they had. He even filled out a little baggie for me. This was a quick and easy experience. I'm so glad I didn't have to drive out of Ewa for a $3.50 part.

It's always a great idea to stop by City Mill because they have everything you need and everyone is friendly and helpful. Love the convenient location and that they have reserved the closest stalls for pick-ups (and, informally, kupuna). Sometimes, you might have to chase down a sales associate, but they're always cheerful and ready to help.

Staff is so nice and very helpful. Was there for paint and they matched the color i needed. Of course a but more expensive than big brand national warehouse chains but i rather support local stores 🙂

Knowledgeable staff, well most of them. Took us directly to where our item was. Friendly. Team players. Little more in price but at least we found what we needed for a smaller Home Improvement store. Thank you Ewa Team ?
