Okay so the owner is AMAZING. She ran into our birthday party out in town, and invited us back to her shop for free birthday ice cream! I’ve never seen a happier bunch of little girls. The shop is so charming, they have a little bit of everything. While there I decided to get myself a chicken long rice plate, a milkshake for my husband, and ice cream sandwiches for my kids. Everything was absolute perfection! The selection was great, there’s something for everyone! We’ll definitely be returning, for the food and snacks and shave ice and everything. They really have it all! Also, we were really glad to be supporting a small local business much rather spend our money there and help the local economy flourish. We’ll definitely be back!!

Dropped by to give this place a try. There is parking for maybe 4 or 5 cars on the side of the store so that shouldn't be a problem.

There is no seating so everything is to go, although there is a small counter on the outside where you could eat standing up.

I believe the plate lunch options change daily as there is a white board as soon as you enter with the days options. I ordered a mix plate of Beef Stew and Baked Chicken. Prices I was told was 13 for 1 choice and 14 for 2 choices. There is a sign that states 95 cents for all credit card transactions. Unfortunately my bill was 16 and change for some reason but a minor issue. Also I was served kalua pork instead of beef stew. Again mistakes happen but it's not fun.

Each plate comes with a very generous amount of white rice, a small container of Mac salad, li-hing pineapple and haupia. It's nice that they are in their own containers and it keeps them colder vs if they were just sitting in the plate.

You can see for yourself in the attached pictures the serving size. It's ok but I thought I would be getting more than 1 piece of chicken for the price. Food all tasted good though. The sides were nice and of good quality (haupia nice and smooth, Mac salad had onions and celery and egg!) The kalua pork even if I didn't order it was nice and tender as it should be without being overly oily like it is at some places. The baked chicken also had nice flavor to it.

Service fast and friendly.

Overall it was a mixed bag experience. While the workers were nice I got the wrong food (I should have checked before leaving) and the prices should be clearly posted. It's just asking for trouble when you don't have something like that in black and white. Plus you're using a white board so it's easy to update if you need to...there's no printed out menu to have to update.

I'll probably go back to try for that beef stew again some time as I love beef stew and I love supporting locally owned shops like this but I hope they clear up some of the issues.

STORE WAS REALLY CLEAN, NEAT & THE OWNERS DAUGHTER WAS REALLY NICE, I MET HER TALKED STORY A LITTLE BIT. I BOUGHT THE BEEF STEW PLATE, SOO GOOD MY KIDS LOVED IT. I GOT THE PASTELES PLATE ❤❤❤❤ IT!! THE BEST MINI PASTELES I EVER HAD. THE STRAWBERRY SLUSHES WAS PERFECT CAUSE IT WAS SOO HOT,WISH THAT ICE CREAM MACHINE WAS WORKING. I used to go to this store when I was little and it was run by the Bannister family. It's an old store, nothing fancy, but clean and well kept. It's nice to see that the current owners are so friendly and I like all the food options they have: shave ice, buko salad, chili hot dog, plate lunch, drinks, and snacks. The menu changes daily but you can check Instagram @silvastore to see what get and if they have any specials for the day. We got combo plates for dinner (squid luau, kalua pig, and char siu pork) and also took home a container of buko salad for dessert (I ate it all and forgot to take a picture of it ?). The potato salad was not my style, but otherwise everything else was great. I'll come back the next time I get too lazy to cook dinner!

Went there for the first time and to be honest the food tastes good but the price is extremely steep. I get it that they need to make money out in the boonies but come on now $17 for a beef stew plate and a soda. You don't get tourists coming out there like Waikiki does, you have local people coming there to buy the essential or a plate lunch. Overall it's a nice little place to be at. Got two items and I got overcharged, the owner tells me it costs $13 but like I said before I paid $17.

Went here for the ice cream before checking out Christmas lights in Ewa Beach. Ice cream machine was down. Got some other ice cream treats (popsicles) and a slushie. Worker was cool. This place is on a neighborhood side street. Super convenient for people who live close by.
