My fiancé and me had lessons with Joshua and Taylor and it was an outstanding experience! Both are incredibly knowledgable and give very good instructions to improve in a short term! The equipment was awesome and during our lessons we were connected via microphones that were attached to our helmets, so that Joshua and Taylor could constantly teach and help us improve! My wife and I have been with Josh twice on our trip so far, and there's a reason why we came back. We're still beginners, just learning to consistently ride upwind. Josh gave actionable, specific feedback to both of us throughout or lessons, and we not only had fun... we got better! Some kiteboarding instructors are knowledgeable. Some give good feedback. Others have a fun, encouraging attitude. Josh has all of these qualities: his instruction was better because he cares and wants you to do well, and he will go out of his way to pour knowledge into you in ways you can actually use. I highly recommend Kiteboarding School of Maui, and Josh specifically, and if you're on the fence, just book now. You won't regret it!

We came and did a lesson on our honeymoon ans it was awesome! We had John as our instructor and really made it an enjoyable time as well made sure to teach the basics well enough for my wife to feel comfortable. Highly recommend it to anyone of any skill level, they will help you to feel comfortable! These guys are awesome and just allow for a fun time!!!!

Best Kite surfing teacher by far. I had another session with someone else on the same beach, while my wife chose to go with KSM and Josh. What a big difference. I switched to Josh as well and did not regret any second. He is such a good teacher and so a nice person! We both continued to take lessons with Josh till our visit in Maui came to an end. Thank you so much Josh, we learned a lot and really enjoyed every moment!

I've had a lot of lessons with many different schools all over the world and I have to say that Josh and his team at KSM (Gabriella, Jesse & Becky) are by far the best!! They use the best gear and have radio headsets with clear instruction and feedback that makes your progression on the water so much faster. They do everything from beginner to advanced lessons with your safety at the highest priority.

I highly recommend them if you're in Maui and looking for kiting lessons!

Booked a private kiteboarding lesson for my husband for a wedding present. He said this is hands down the best gift he has ever received! Josh and his team made us feel like family. His instructor Jerry spoke Polish which hubby is fluent in, what a special surprise. He also speaks Russian! The lesson was amazing and he enjoyed every minute of it. The equipment was brand new and top of the line, they take exceptional care in safety. Mahalo from your friends in Idaho!

A group of friends from work on the mainland wanted to try kiteboarding while visiting Maui, so we set up an afternoon of lessons with KSM's awesome instructors through Jen. Everyone had a fun and safe time, and made great progress in just a few hours. We had so much fun we even decided to come back the next day for more time with KSM.

KSM's instructors were all really good and they're just a fun group of guys and girls. The equipment was all nice, with the latest safety features.

Overall, an outstanding operation that I'd recommend to anyone interested in trying the sport or improving their skills. Thanks KSM!
