Took reviewers’ suggestion to call in my order in advance and it worked great, although there wasn’t much of a line when I arrived. It was difficult not to get everything, all the choices sounded wonderful. It really is the best mochi in Hawaii - was even soft after a couple days.

Delicious treats and mochi -- definitely recommend ordering ahead. But this spot was recommended to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. Worth stopping in (early!) if you are in town.

The strawberry mochi was so good!!!!! A must try!! But it took a little bit time to get the food since they make it fresh after you order it. It took us around 20 min after ordering since there was a line, but totally worth it!!

You have to try their mochi if you're visiting Hilo. The crowd of people outside lets you know you're in the right place. It's a small interior, so people order and then wait outside for their order to be fulfilled. The strawberry mochi seems to be the most popular.

We tried the Oreo mochi as well as the butter baked mochi. These were both delicious! We had made the mistake of first trying mochi from Foodland and it was a mistake, it just wasn’t good. But I’m so grateful that we gave Two Ladies Kitchen a try. I wish I would have bought more than what I did.

Definitely worth placing a phone order ahead of time so that you can skip the line and order what you want. Most of the stuff they have out on the counter is generic chichi mochi or their basic traditional Japanese selection. The mochi itself is delicious of course. We grazed across the menu and everything was great. The mochi had a great taste and texture and the fillings were nice. My favorites were the Oreo and brownie mochis. Knocked off a star since they forgot to include the strawberry mochi that was ordered in the box.

@Jason Ing most of their mochi confections also include some kind of bean paste along with the other fillings, so unless you’re also gonna buy a pouch of that to take bites of then you aren’t going to get the same experience. It seems you haven’t discovered the concept of “convenience” yet. I’m not going to buy a box of mochi, a pack of Oreos, a container of strawberries, etc. just to try one of each combination of them and then be stuck with the leftovers when I could instead buy them premade and have exactly the amount I want. This is the same principle as buying a cold fountain drink with your lunch from McDonalds rather than buying a case of soda from the grocery store to bring into the drive thru.

So good!! I placed a pre-order over the phone 2 days before my pick-up date. I arrived when they opened in the morning for pickup, and there was already a line forming. I called to let them know I was there, and within a few minutes, I was called in to the head of the line in the store to pay. The mochi was so yummy and glad I was able to bring back home a few. Would highly recommend. All the flavors were very tasty, but our favorite was the Oreo cookie (blue) one. ?
