From the moment we stepped into the Snorkel Store, we knew we were renting our equipment from the right place! We are a couple from San Diego, CA, and were on a 2 week trip to celebrate my 65th birthday. One of the things that appealed to us was we got to keep our equipment for the full 2 weeks we were there, for one low price! Ken quickly came to help us get properly fitted. He was professional, and funny, and shared with us his secrets to make our stay even more enjoyable (I won’t get into that here, you’ll just have to rent your gear there and ask him!) We received the Snorkle Report everyday in our inbox, and Ken also gave us The Best snorkle map, which we utilized daily as well! I adopted 2 Honu that are in rehab through Snorkle Store’s partnership with the Marine Institute, Maui Ocean Center. As you can see, Snorkle Store puts the turtles first and we really appreciated that. When our trip was over, we returned our gear, easy peasy in less than 5 minutes! Guys, i can’t thank you enough for your help in making my birthday trip so enjoyable! We are 100% satisfied with Snorkle Store and when we return again, you’ll be our first stop! Mahalo!

I used this shop while visiting recently. I’ve snorkeled all over the Caribbean but this was my first trip to Maui. It was easy finding fins and a mask that fit with help of the staff. They gave me a quick rundown of where I had gone on an excursion the day before and labeled a map with tons of great spots to snorkel. We had an absolute blast and returning the equipment was as easy as checking out. We got some great pics while we were out there. 10/10 would recommend and use again in the future.

A++ Outstanding! These guys rent top quality equipment and have a great packages if you're staying all week with Tommy Bahama chairs, umbrellas, snorkel equipment and boogie boards. I'll say it again all of their stuff is top quality and you'll be looking good sitting on the beach. Do yourself a favor and definitely get an umbrella.

Ask for Jonathan, tell him Drew the tall guy from California sent you. Everybody in the store was really super and friendly and helpful. They have tons of free advice and great daily email snorkel reports.

If you're looking for beach apparel and T-shirts these guys have super stuff, including hats and T-shirts from a local Maui artist.

My wife and I have spent the last 26 years on Maui during February. We have developed relationships with many snorkel and dive shops and also excursion companies. A year ago while surfing the web we ran across the Snorkel store’s daily push email “ Snorkel report.” Not only have we checked it every day to prepare …. we thoroughly enjoy the photos. It lets us live “the Ohana” from our home in Iowa every day. We have recommended “the store” along with restaurants, sites and excursions to over 70 Couples that are visiting the island for the first time. At Mass on Sunday morning our “community” regularly talks of the report. All have or are planning to visit and lease or buy their gear there just up the hill from Whalers Village. We have used The Snorkel Store rentals twice now and have been so happy both times. The staff are so knowledgeable about where to go to snorkel safely! They provided a detailed map and then went over all the different locations with us! We also used the daily snorkel report that was emailed to make our plans for the day! The rental fees are so reasonable and the equipment they have is great. We rented chairs, snorkel gear, umbrella and a cooler! Fantastic! They have some great clothing too! Highly recommend!!

Customer service is amazing! They definitely make sure you are taken care of. Very knowledgeable and efficient. My family and I went there for snorkel gear. Make sure you make use of their online offers! Sometimes they have discounts regarding their services which can be sent to your email. They give you a map for the nearest/best places to see marine life, weather updates regarding good times to do your activities, and they even give you a scavenger card so you can identify the sea life you see! Incredibly kind and with your rental you can refill your water at their flow water fountain AND …. You get discounts and access to their shave ice shop literally right there attached to the shop. So so good! Highly recommend! Great price, great service, great gear, just all around AMAZING! Thank you guys so much for taking care of us during our stay on the island!

Lisa is amazing! She showed us how to work the chairs and beach umbrella as well as giving us a map of all the best snorkeling and beach spots. Sure enough we spotted a sea turtle later that day (Black Rock beach)

The umbrella and beach chairs were Tommy Bahama ones you can get at Costco and were in great condition. It cost $25/per item (with a coupon for signing up) for the week. Drop-off was super easy, but you do have to go during business hours. If you have an early morning flight I would try to return it the evening before
