Nice little shop. Quality work at a reasonable price. I stopped in to get a leather bracelet repaired and was happily greeted by Jay, the owner. He took the time to understand my needs and told me to come back the next day and it would be fixed. He refused money up front and when I returned the next day, the bracelet was finished on time and at a reasonable price.

While I was there I learned he does other work on leather like handbags, strap repairs, conditioning and zippers. He showed me some of his complete sole repairs and he does quality work. I've got two or three pairs of expensive leather shoes I was going to get rid of but now I know he can save & rejuvenate them.

It was nice to meet a small business owner who cares about people and the work that he does. I'll definitely be back...

I brought in a pair of leather ankle boots that needed heel tip replacement and a good polishing. I was shocked by the sloppiness of the job when I went back to pick up the boots: the black polish had been applied thickly and unevenly. The rubber heel tip was oversized for the heel. I asked the owner to work with me in the sizing; he was visibly impatient and angry but attempted to use machinery to shave the rubber down to size. He did not take any time or care in the correction and I asked for my money back (I had been charged at the time of drop off). He agreed to return my payment, but pulled off the rubber tips, but no longer even had the originals to return to me. My boots were not even in the same condition they were when I had first brought them in. My only experience with Barrington Shoe Services left me completely dissatisfied with both the customer service and craftsmanship.
