I just went to return a pair of UGGS that i was planning on exchanging. They were a gift and I had the gift receipt. When i got up to the front, they asked all the normal questions and then asked if it was ok to return to the original form of payment. I explained that NO, it was a gift and I’d be getting a different pair and I was hoping for a gift card, the employee had already processed the return to the original card while I was talking. She told me there was nothing they could do and to “maybe text the person who got you these and ask for the money”.
Just frustrated that they wouldn’t check before processing and that they jumped the gun. The manager also said there is nothing they can do. Understandable, but please check before doing so this doesn’t happen again. So mortifying to have to text my MIL that she would be getting a refund for the shoes ?

I HATE the way that they have things laid out now. I liked when the displays were cut down and you could see across the entire store. I'm sure they changed it so they could keep a larger stock, but it gives the store the same feel as a lower end place, like a Shoe Carnival. The displays are strange. Some shoes are laid out on what looks like a conveyor belt? Don't think I'll be visiting this location anymore.
