I've been going to Angelo's bait shop for 30 years, way back when Angelo was still alive. I would go into his liquor store. which is next door to his bait shop, and Angelo's would always be looking through the newspaper sitting on top a stack of beer cases or whatever happened to be just at the right height, for him to browse through the newspaper. He was such a nice guy, always in good spirits, and always in the mood for a conversation. I would go into his liquor store for a case of beer, and I would strike up a conversation with him, and I would end up talking to him for an hour or so. He loved people and would do anything to try to pick your spirits up no matter your mindset or personal situation. He always gave, kinda friendly-fatherly advise for whatever you were going through. You couldn't talk to Angelo's, without becoming a friend to him.
To me it's not the same without him there, but it is still a great place for bait, tackle, hunting accessories and licenses. the liquor store next door has all your liquor needs, and if you are after something they don't have, if you ask for it they will have it on the shelf the following week. That was what Angelo's would do for you. If your need was for something he didn't have, he would do his best to have it for you the very next time you entered his store.
Their prices are very reasonable too, so if you are in the area stop in and check out their diverse selection of all your fishing and hunting needs, along with their selection of baits

Met a couple guys there so far I'm not the best with names but they were excellent very informative don't mind telling you what's good what's bad not trying to rip you off or anything It's a good honest business with good honest people that don't mind answering a few questions which is lacking nowadays with a lot of companies I appreciate it their time and patience reminds me and when I was younger nowadays it seems like everyone wants to just get the business done and be out no common courtesies or nothing but these gentlemen were very courteous informative and respectful.

Went here for the first time on 06/17/23 to get bait and some other supplies. Great place, a fisherman’s dream! They have everything you could possibly need or want! I can’t remember the gentleman’s name that waited on me, but he was an older Caucasian fella with grey hair and a blue shirt and friendly demeanor, he was very knowledgeable also about crappie fishing, and good fishing spots in the area! Nice place and good people!

I go in here at least once a year and buy goldfish for pond never have been treat with anything but kindness….they are patient as we ask for the white a gold fish for pond never act like we are a bother
