Let me start by saying we called Greta’s to set our appointment! My daughter was able to speak to Greta and she was so helpful. Where as, other places were not so helpful when we were trying to schedule an Appt for 5 plus bride. Greta was so sweet to my daughter and explained the whole process which put my daughter’s mind at ease. The other places we spoke with said or did nothing to help her understand their process!

Upon arrival we were greeted by Greta and she showed us to our private room that accommodated all of us comfortably! She explained our personal stylist would be Anita and we couldn’t have been matched with a more perfect stylist for us! She spoke to all of us and then directed her attention to my daughter about designers, styles and budget. She then took my daughter out to the thousands of dresses and they pulled dresses my daughter liked. However, she did pull one and asked my daughter to humor her and try it on. It was the first drsss my daughter put on and we all loved it! It almost made it to her ceremony. 😀. My daughter tried on 2 more dresses and was definitely in love with all 3. After much deliberation she did find her perfect dress out of those 3. I just want to again say, Anita was absolutely amazing and it should tell you she is pretty darn great at her job if she was able to have the first 3 dresses she showed to my daughter be the 3 she decided to choose from. Anita had an eye for what would look amazing on my daughter and listened to what my daughter was wanting.

I went to a few dress stores in Indy before visiting here around Thanksgiving. I had found a few potential dresses in the other stores, but nothing perfect. Anita was great at grabbing dresses that fit the description/feel of what I wanted. And I found a dress I was very happy with (still not perfect, I was hoping for off the shoulder sleeves). But I already had an appointment set with another local dress store. The owner was trying a bit of sales tactics, saying my dress may be gone if I left but in the end she yielded and said she was hold it for me for the rest of the day. Greta is a bit stern and based on the reviews sometimes a bit rude. I did not experience that with Greta and I appreciated that she was flexible with holding the dress for me. I ended up returning to purchase the dress after determining that the other store had nothing I wanted.
I also had a good experience with their seamstress, although the dress fit so well I didn't have her do much work. She would have worked with me to add sleeves, but the extra cost and not knowing if I would actually like the final product kept me from doing so. I did have her fix some of the beading and add the bustle clip, so left the dress in their hands until a month or so before the wedding.
I was very happy with the experience and got a great dress for a good price.

Greta saved the day before my wedding day last year!! She did an absolutely perfect job pressing my ballgown dress! Greta agreed to help with late notice after my original plan fell through and I was traveling in from out of town after carrying my dress which was very wrinkled. She did a meticulous job with a difficult fabric and even consulted with the store where I bought the dress to be sure she handled everything correctly. She also personally delivered my dress to the Morris Inn, helped take it out of the bag and make sure everything still looked ok after moving the dress. She was also so kind and attentive throughout the process. I am so grateful for Greta and would HIGHLY recommend her if you need help pressing a wedding dress.

I went to Greta's for wedding dress shopping and had a very disappointing experience.

From the moment I arrived the ladies helping to style me wanted to dress me in gowns that I explicitly told them I was not interested in or looking for. I told and showed pictures of what I did/did not want but one of them kept saying that she wanted to dress me up in one that was the opposite of what I described I wanted just because it was her favorite... felt as though my input was not respected from the start. I felt as though the dress selection was overwhelmingly large and expansive yet had very very little diversity in dress style. Almost all of the gowns looked like they were the thing in the 2000s and 2010s and several of their dresses on display were described to me as "not order-able".

The fitting room space had curtains that constantly blew open giving very little privacy, they did not clip any of the dresses I tried on despite it being common practice at other salons. Instead they shoved a pillow cushion in the back that I would think is quite unsanitary and also didn't have the same affect as a clip would. Couldn't tell what the dresses would have looked like even if they did fit.

There was no mirror behind the changing curtain so I had to walk out in front of my entire group to see how much I did not like the dresses and how bad I felt in them and how little I felt they represented me. There were several dresses that I put on and didn't even like when I was looking down without a mirror, or on the hanger, and the stylist tried to insist that I still go out to show everyone. I felt terrible. Cried when the ladies left the room to get me more dresses. After someone in my group went to politely tell the ladies I did not want to continue, they still insisted that I tried on more dresses as we were ready to walk out the door.

These ladies were very pushy and not very welcoming at all. Greta was rude to her coworker as well for missing work from being in the hospital (as if that is her fault... or our business). Just wanted to sell a dress to me and convince me they were FAR better than other salons. This bridal shop was the opposite experience of the other shops I’ve been to. I don't normally leave reviews like this for places but this appointment absolutely sucked the joy out of me. No bride should cry negative tears in a wedding gown.

I had such a fun experience!!!! Everyone was so welcoming. Anita was so fun to work with, she was so helpful and attentive. I highly recommend!!! So many beautiful dresses to choose from! Happy to say I found mine!

I had a great experience here! I ended up with exactly what I had wanted. I came looking for a black wedding gown and they had a few options to show me, after trying on a few dresses I ended with a dress I have never felt prettier in. Can't wait to show it off on my big day. And Anita was amazing! Super sweet and brought me out of my comfort zone. All the ladies were so helpful. Will be returning for my further wedding needs!

I found my dress at Greta's last fall and the dress was a bit big on me to begin with. Of course, I picked a dress that the vendor no longer orders, so we bought the only dress in the store because of this. Plus I would need alterations anyway since I am only 5'3". Well I ended up losing 18 pounds, from September to January, which is a lot for a wedding dress. I showed up to my next appointment and Peggy, the seamstress, ended up resizing me and told me the dress would need to be taken in by 2 dress sizes. To my surprise, Greta ended up calling me after the appointment to inform me that she got a hold of the dress vendor and they added the dress back in rotation and can definitely order my size. Greta went above and beyond for me. They are very flexible and willing to work with you. If you are looking for a wedding dress, make sure to visit Greta's Bridal & Formalwear! You won't regret it.

I absolutely LOVED my experience with Greta’s!! I had Anita as my consultant and she was AMAZING!! I loved every minute of my appointment. She was so kind and spunky, our personalities meshed so well. I was so apprehensive and afraid that I wouldn’t find anything that fit right or looked good on me and boy was I wrong!! Not only does Greta’s have a huge selection of dresses they also have sizes for us bigger girlies!! I had so many to choose from and it was such a relief!! I was starting to get discouraged at one point but Anita went into overdrive and reassured me that I was going to be ok and gave me the comfort I so desperately needed in that moment.
