The tsukamaki was wonderfully done, it was actually superior to the original wrap the sword came with in overall aesthetic, fit, finish and durability. Communication and customer service was fast and smooth. It’s not often that you can say that it was truly a pleasure working with the service, but in this case, it actually was. The diamonds on the ito are exquisite and well defined, You can tell that Adam gives 110%.

I had Adam work on a sword for me that was in terrible shape when I bought it, my fault for not inspecting it closer, the blade was bent, the tsuka was warped and twisted. Adam was able to straighten the bend (on spring treated mono steel) and made me an entire new tsuka and wrapped a Beautiful Katatemaki over a superb green samegawa with very nice emperor nodes.
The sword now cuts and handles like a dream and I can't think him enough. I'll be sending all my stuff to Adam Novath!!!!

This guy has been the best, he is very knowledgeable and very detailed and takes his time when working on your personal items as if they are his own, he is also very respectful and nice, very happy I found this place if I could give a 10 stars I would, he pays attention to every detail which is hard to see nowadays, definitely will continue to go back to this place, my experience has been great!

I had an odd job to redo the handle of my knuckle cutlass sword plus sharpen the blade and fix a tsuba I added. It really was a custom job. I'm giving the work done 5 stars because the attention to detail and understanding of a sword was spectacular. The effort and thought put into the work is from a skilled professional. I never expected the sword to look and feel so good in my hand after many failed attempts of trying to do the work myself. I highly recommend Student of War Customs and will be going back when the work needed on a blade is above my skill level.

The service from start to finish was excellent and extremely professional, I cannot recommend enough!

I use an old glock 78 for everything and it really need a fix, the swedge was sharpened/reshaped and the entire blade was resharpened to a steeper bevel.

To find a blade smith that is willing to work on everything from a lowly edc knife to a full sword and even firearms is truly amazing. I am completely happy with his work.

Bought a sword from here that came with a custom sharpening job. It is currently one of the cleanest cutting blades I own, much better than factory sharpening from the same manufacturer (cold steel). Seems to be holding its edge fairly well, even in the spot I hit when I chipped a piece of my stand. Would do business with again, for sure

I have had 3 Tsukamaki wraps done. Excellent prices. Ito is super tight. The center black ito is for a Raptor Katana. I had it thinned down.
