Lovely shop we stopped at by chance on a weekend visit! My partner and I got to visit with Darin (the owner I believe), who was super helpful and friendly to us out of towners! Will be coming back for a surf lesson!

Geez I guess maybe close to 20 year's I've been buying wax a occasional leash I think even a wetsuit or two and Darrin still rocking the shop. Great place. Ignore the surf Karins with there negative reviews and bad vibes. Place was here before the world took a dump circa 2020 and the tourist moved in.

Darren was SUPER friendly and went above and beyond for us. We rented bikes for the whole day for my birthday and it was $30 per person. Great rates and great experience with the most amazing view and bike path. Couldn’t have been happier 🙂 Highly recommend and really appreciated Darren’s customer service and overall friendliness. Made the experience that much better. You could also tell he had great relationships with the customers and was friends with all the locals.

I was in HMB visiting family and wanted to get a quick surf session in, so I swung by this shop to rent a board. They charge $30 for renting a Wavestorm, a board you can buy from costco for ~$150. When I checked out, I included roof pads for an additional $5, but ended up not needing them since the board fit inside the car. Since I didn't need/use the roof pads, I asked the guy if I could return them and he said "no problem we'll do it when you get back." A couple hours later when I return, the same guy refuses to give me a refund for the board straps that I didn't use, didn't touch, and did not leave the store with. They offered me a $0.25 sticker instead and laughed at me for asking for my money back. Bad experience here with dishonest people.

According to Google they open at 10:30. I was there at 10:42 and they were definitely not open. Don’t waste your time.

Friendly service and great prices. We went to HMB Board Shop to rent a body board and wet suit for my teenage son. We arrived at the shop at 1030 so the shop was full of customers since they had just opened yet the gentlemen behind the counter was able to take care of everyone in a timely manner and we were sized fitted and on our way as quickly as possible. Great experience definitely will be returning when visiting HMB in the future.
