We visited this DSW store on a weekday in spring 2024. The store seemed mostly clean. But could have used some sprucing up in areas. Mostly caused by customers who can't be troubled to pick up after themselves.
Right off the bat, my observation that this store has terrible signage to direct customers where things are. So for the most part, you need to wander around the store until you find the shoes that may fit your desire and or gender. Then you can scan for what you may be interested in.
The isles are somewhat narrow considering they have the benches for trying on shoes in the middle of the isles. So when folks are trying on shoes, it's fairly difficult to navigate around them. Sometimes it's easier to walk around from another isle and come in from the opposite side. They do have to little nylon socks for trying on shoes if you do not have socks on. But they are sized more for tiny feet. As such, larger man size feet do not fit.
The prices were not bad on some items. Not so great on others. But this is just my opinion on the items we were looking at. Your opinion may differ. So take my comment with a grain of salt. And we found them fair enough to purchase shoes. So they could not be all that bad.
Then comes the biggest complaint. We decided to purchase multiple pairs of shoes. But this DSW will not give you a bag. They say they are bagless. As such, they force you to carry out a stack in your hands, rather than some boxes in a bag. Honestly, I probably would not have purchased shoes knowing we would have to lug them out in a pile. I didn't need the shoes. I just happened to impulse buy while accompanying the wife.

Great store layout, easy to find the type of shoes you are looking for. My wife found some shoes on sale in the Gainesville store for herself and then we went to the store in Ocala where we were able to find some shoes for my sister along with some cool socks for my nieces. The aisle are low and organized with lots of seats to try on shoes and feet cover dispensers.

I always have a 5 star experience at DSW. Today, Mike was very understanding regarding allowing me to return a shoe that was out of the return window. Mike took his time and figured out a way that I could return shoes that I was having a problem with the dye coming off on my feet. I ONLY buy my shoes at DSW. Best selection and best price!

I was just there and told the cashier or associate that I received an email where it states I get a 25% off and she 1uickly answered you get $10 dollars off. I searched up my account and saw that as a gold member which I did mention.I get a 25% but she did not show any interest at all to ask me.or help me. I just called the manager and he said I just need to go back and show them the code but they just closed so he won't even bother to see my receipt. Very poor customer service. So now I get to drive back waste my time and gas of course before tomorrow August 4th when we are expecting a storm. Of course!

Today was my 2nd visit there, and it was so nice and clean. And man they had a big, nice clearance section. Staff wasn't as friendly this time.. but what little interaction I had with her she was helpful. I didn't take any pics of my shoes (black Dr. Shoells and a cute pair of gold metallic slip on casuals. this time. 1st visit-So many choices and very neat, organized. Staff very friendly. My husband loves his Birkenstocks, says they feel like you have nothing on. I got 2 pair of boots on clearance and the green tag is 30% red tag 50% off the clearance price. Woo-hoo
