Had an amazing experience with CiCi!! She helped me put together a fire look for a last minute event!! She was able to pin point my needs and meet my expectations. I don’t know if this is a normal shopping experience in Chicago- but as soon as I walked into the store I was approached by an associate named Nick. Very kind, super hospitable. Asked us what we were doing, where we were from, and even shook our hands. While I was shopping he loaded my picks into a dressing room. On top of that, he picked out items similar and the right size that I absolutely loved. He is a gem. Thanks Nick 👏

I made a purchase 1/30 for a birthday trip planned 2/15 for Dubai. The day I wore this sandal, 3 hours later the strap ripped from the sole. Today I went to the store, being I only come downtown once a month for an ortho appointment and it’s the location I made the original purchase, the store Manager Cindye was very incompetent and condescending. Ironically she was my cashier the day of purchase. From photos clearly the shoe was worn once, she demanded a receipt. I found the receipt only for her to read me the store policy. Where in the policy does it say a loyal customer can’t get a fair exchange. During this time in Chicago, the weather doesn’t even permit for this type of sandal, but when it does I suppose to just take my losses.

No I refuse. While in store I called Akira’s corporate office and spoke to a customer service supervisor (Christian) who promised to escalate my case and mentioned I should receive a phone call within a day of the district managers (Maria, Flow or Maritza) checking their email. Hopefully they will be of better assistance. Great customer service these days are rare and unfortunately one of the reasons people chose online purchasing instead.

Associates are nice enough but one of them stole my Balmain sunglasses I left behind in the dressing room. I was there shopping at the end of the day and one of them was helping me, so I know they went in there behind me and took it after I was done trying things on. When I called, they claimed they never saw them. Right. Just make sure you grab your stuff when you’re done.

The good - the staff were friendly. I love the website, so I was excited to go to a store (I am from overseas). I was so disappointed. There is a lot of stuff but just way too much. I felt like I was in Rainbow/Easy Pickings back in the day (I am older), and for the prices they charge that's not good. If you want to see everything from their website (but I could not find many shirts) in a small space with not many sizes then it's the store for you. But to me they need scale down and show some and not all. To me its just took junky and low class.

***Added after Akira responded: I still like Akira and will continue to shop online as they have good sales and my many purchases have been of good quality. Maybe one day I will return to a store but with Zara across the way you could get those customers if you organized your store as the quality of both stores' items are similar but the stores look completely different.

Where was this store when I was in my 20’s!?! Such fun clothes. Such weird clothes and all reasonably priced with a staff eager to help and find more things for you. I love this place.

The staff are so attentive, helpful, & kind. I believe the associate who helped me was Jaylen (beautifully braided hair, amazing glistening skin), but forgive me if I got his name wrong. I enjoyed my time here and left with the items I was looking for.

I went to Akira to purchase boots for an event and when I got home I noticed there were two right boots. I was furious but did not have time to go back to the store. When i went to try to return it to the store, the guy gave me store credit only. Why tf cant I get my money back if it was YALL FAULT!!!! Ridiculous! Never shopping there again💯
