I had my first ever experience with Altar'd State here, and it was amazing! After looking at their website, I decided to go check it out in my search for an elopement wedding dress. The women in the store were absolutely delightful and seemed excited for our task of the day. The clothing was so cute and good quality. The atmosphere, cleanliness, and organization were wonderful! Kelsey & Ainsley deserve all the praise for my positive experience. It was the first and only store I went to before I said "yes to the dress" 🥰

Amazing staff! Altar’d State was very well-decorated, it looks amazing. What really makes this store special is the staff, they are all extremely friendly and willing to help customers. On top of the amazing staff and beautiful store, there are great sales as well!

I love to stop in and shop around whenever I come to town to see my parents. I love the selection and styles, and I always find something fun in the sale room. I'm 40 and often wondered if this store is for younger people. But I am never judged (nor ever felt judged) when I shop in there and buy items; plus I've decided I can wear whatever I want! 😉 Staff has always been helpful and friendly. At times when they don't have my size in stock, they have always offered to order it for me.

Awesome selection of teen clothing. The manager jumped in to find sizes and clothing cut for a very trim young lady. She knew what might fit and laid her fingers on the best looking styles. Greatly appreciate her kindness and knowledge.

My sister and I had one of the worst shopping experiences here today. I’m normally not one to write reviews, but one of the workers named Cheyanne was extremely rude and on her phone when my sister was asking for help getting a dress down. She was passive aggressive and even seemed rude to a coworker in front of us. My sister typically enjoys the Altered state environment, but today was just awful.

The store manager was extremely rude to my friend who is working there at the time. She was having a hard time at home, and when she asked for any flexibility, it was not given and not only that she was also told she would lose her job if she didn’t show up and she would be the reason her boss loses her job. Far from that, I love this place, but just knowing what I know, I will never shop at any of these stores again.

Never had I felt such second-hand embarrassment and humiliation from a clothing store. My sister and I went shopping today, and my sister had tried on a cute romper. She is tall with a bigger bust, so it was a bit short on her. She asked the employee privately if they had an extra large. My sister doesn’t like to talk about her size, but needed help. The girl had a rude tone to her voice as she loudly stated that their clothing line rarely comes in XL, but that she’d go check. A few heads turned and my sister got red in the face. She briefly went to the back and instead of coming back and speaking with my sister, she shouted across the store “They don’t come in EXTRA large”. Horrified with her snippy tone and all the patrons’ stares, my sisters face turned bright red and she asked if we could leave. She was so embarrassed and is still thinking about it.

It’s okay if your store doesn’t accommodate all body types. But the staff publicly body shaming is not okay. We used to love this store now I’m not sure if we’ll return.
