Bought 3 rods from Australia, paid more then 500$ ( international free ship) which on 21st Nov 24 was the deal on their website.
After 3 months of not hearing from American Legacy fishing they asked me for 120$ shipping cost.
Rods were on stock on the website, but after numerous emails sent by me they told they were out of stock!
3 months of waiting and they did not keep their word ( free shipping).

Ridiculous.
I rather loose all the profit if I was you instead of loosing a good customer which spent money multiple times from American Legacy F.

The staff here truly offer unparalleled customer service. The quality of the goods is on point and I would pair them against anyone else out there.

I’ve bought a few things in the past but recently I was looking for a product I hadn’t been able to find. Turns out they had discontinued it. I asked if there was anything comparable and instead offered to scour their warehouse to see if by chance any had been left over. They could have easily said, “sorry these are discontinued and we don’t have any”. They didn’t do that. They went the extra mile and that is top notch service!

Super fast turnaround between placing my order and when the rod shipped, even with it being on back order. Had a question about the order regarding shipping since USPS dropped the ball, and Colin from the ALF team was super helpful and courteous with my question. Rod arrived in very secure packaging with proper bubble wrap around all the vulnerable spots on the rod. 5* company will definitely be ordering from them again. If you’re looking for great prices and service, especially for a Dobyns, look no further than ALF.

The rod j purchased came very quickly and was packed very nicely to protect from damage. Rod arrived in perfect condition. Originally I was going to use the used option and trade in a rod and reel I hardly used even though it was above average combo. But the price they said the would give me was too low for me to trade . Brian explained that the price he gave me was due to the same items being on sale , which I understood but still wasn't worth it I my opinion. So I put the rod and reel back in my collection. If i sell it ok if not that's OK also. I expected a lower price but it was much lower than I thought. Understandably he has to resell so he's not going to give me almost what I paid but I had to find out. Still everything else was great and I expect to do business there again.

I buy all my rods and reels from ALF at this point. Rods always come in a tube taped just right. I think ALF is the only retailer that really tries to get their products into their customers hands at a good price. Customer service can be very slow through email but I've had no issues when calling them directly. From what I've heard they are a small shop that does a lot of business so I assume they are swamped certain times of year.

My experience with Legacy Fishing and Outdoors has been a disaster. I ordered an in stock fishing rod September 4, 2024, over 7 + weeks ago. My card was INSTANTLY charged and 7 + weeks later no product. I corresponded with Legacy after 10 days, since they tout how Indiana to Georgia is only a 2 day delivery. They blamed the delay on the USPS. Several more weeks, turned in to over a month and no product. I sent several more correspondences, all of which have been ignored w/o acknowledgement. Including my demand for an immediate refund. USPS claim to have delivered. I informed Legacy Fishing and Outdoors I have never been delivered the rod. AS OF NOVEMBER 5, 2024, NO RESPONSE FROM LEGACY FISHING AND OUTDOORS.
