Stumbled upon this place when I was visiting Madison. I first I thought it was a men's shop, however is just a lady clothing/boutique shop. I did however find a gift for my sister. The staff is very nice and the place is dog-friendly.

I feel compelled to share my recurring negative experiences at this store. On multiple visits, my family and I have been subjected to blatant discriminatory profiling by the staff. Each time we enter, employees shadow our every move in an overtly suspicious manner. During our most recent visit, after requesting to try on shoes, the employee not only provided just one shoe (contrary to standard practice) but proceeded to sit directly across from me, maintaining uncomfortable surveillance throughout the entire fitting process.
This persistent pattern of discriminatory behavior has resulted in our family leaving the store without making purchases on several occasions. Today's experience has confirmed our decision to permanently take our business elsewhere. Such discriminatory profiling practices are unethical. This treatment of customers is completely unacceptable in any business setting, and as the owner, you should address this serious issue immediately with your staff to ensure all customers are treated with equal respect and dignity.

I was disappointed at the management/ownership of this store. The store is well stocked and displayed with one shoe of each style. My friend and I, both in our 70’s and well dressed, were followed by one of the salesclerk/owners like we were going to steal the shoes. Who wears one shoe? If you are that parenoid put cameras in every corner. It was degrading.

I love Barking Dog. I buy nearly all my shoes here because of the quality and service. My dog, Willard, loves to visit. He appreciates the dog treats at the door. Thanks for being consistently wonderful to work with and for helping me pick out gym shoes.

Today July 5 I entered the store to buy some shoes they made me feel like I was going to steal something they fallow me every second I was embarrassing I have never been made feel like that before

My wife loved the shoes they had and bought three pairs. They have a chair for someone who was not looking for anything so I was able to stay out of the way.
