They need to change their open hours of operation to reflect that Saturday's are by appointment only so people don't drive for an hour+ one way to find that they are not open 9-5 like it showed on Google. We won't buy from them now due to this oversight on their part.

I have never called a company for a repair that supposedly specializes in the generator you own, to have them charge you a service call of $175, then tell you he refuses to work on your generator ( because he can’t figure out what’s wrong ). He then keeps our $175 and tells us he wouldn’t refund it. We proceeded to call another company who came out and in less then 5 minutes had it up and running without dismantling anything and charged nothing because it was under warranty. Mr Whitney it is a shame to take our money and do absolutely nothing when indeed you can and probably did submit for reimbursement from the manufacturer for a service call. I think it is called Double dipping.

Doug please do not say shame on me. If you knew you weren’t servicing Cummins anymore then why did you agree to come out. You also told us that the 175 would cover you coming back out and fixing the generator and you did come back out and refused to service it. If you did your job you would have known that it was under warranty and would have been paid by cummins and not us. Also we called the propane company and they did come out and told us, as we told you, that there was nothing wrong with the regulator . Like I said in my first review, the other repair person who came out after you took 5 minutes and it was working and NO CHARGE because it was under warranty. The right thing your company should have done was return our money. I did not say in any way that your company was bad I reviewed your service call to us and we were taken advantage of because you did nothing. You already told us that we would not be charged again if you came out so don’t make it sound like you did us a favor by not charging us. You flatly refused to repair our generator and took our money and ran

Without a doubt the best experience I’ve ever had with someone working on my travel trailer. Doug and his team were efficient, professional, quality focused and friendly!
VALUE: I had bought an inverter/charger, batteries and monitor for my trailer and had been trying to locate someone that could do the installation and just on a whim we walked into Beyond The Grid not even thinking about that need, it was the perfect place to walk into that day! The price quoted was very reasonable and since it was so reasonable we were able to add 3 solar panels to our trailer.
QUALITY/INTEGRITY: The equipment I furnished was different than what Doug was used to so he spent about half a day doing research on the configuration and making sure we were in sync with what the expectations were. Because of the added research time the estimate was off and instead of just adding the extra cost to my invoice Doug asked if he could add it, that’s a refreshing demonstration of how important integrity is.
AVAILABILITY/SCHEDULING: We’re full time RV’ers and were staying in the area so our time in the region was a bit flexible but we were added to the schedule in a very reasonable time frame and even though the installation went over the allotted time Doug and his team pressed on to complete the work.
AFTER THE SALE SUPPORT: A couple of weeks after the installation was completed we started experiencing some faults on the system, I called Doug and he had me bring it in the next afternoon! He spent hours going over his work and further troubleshooting. The problem turned out to be the result of an unrelated poor routing of a wire on the GFCI circuit that had shorted. Absolutely nothing to do with Doug’s work.

I intend to save up all of the repairs on the trailer and make sure to spend a couple of weeks in the area to get them done at Beyond The Grid! Thank you Doug and team!

They came out same day, worked hard and fast. Rates are incredibly reasonable. Doug and his partner were very kind, patient and answered all our questions thoroughly. I highly recommend this company.

Great prices and very friendly service. State of the art panel and controller. Only complaint made in China but told over the phone made in USA. After driving 129 miles was kinda forced to buy it. Chinese are getting really tricky selling their wares as more Americans are trying to buy made in USA.

Prices seem to change if he finds out you have other money to spend . Also he kept the books and locked the generator . I paid 5000.00 for a 3700.0 dollar generator . I was promised repeatedly that the complete job could be done for 5000.00 dollars but now to do the proper install he wants to run 2000.00 over the agreed amount. I am very frustrated and have really been taken advantage of .
