I recently got back into cycling and have been searching for an upgrade to my road bike. (The kind of upgrade that required quite a bit of negotiating before the boss-lady would approve.)

I came across Bloomington Bicycles, which had the exact bike I wanted at a great price. When I reached out, the staff was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and made me feel very comfortable with such a substantial purchase.

Fast forward - I took delivery of my new bike, and it’s stunning! Unfortunately, soon after, I discovered a defect. Wanting a second (and third) opinion, I brought the bike to my local dealers; both agreed that it was a manufacturer defect but neither was keen on initiating a warranty claim, despite a clear manufacturer warranty policy that all dealers are supposed to follow. (Admittedly, I could have pushed harder for their help, but I didn’t exactly get a warm and fuzzy vibe.)

Throughout this frustrating ordeal, I’ve kept in touch with Bloomington Bicycles, and their vibe has been consistently warm and fuzzy! The communication and customer service have been top-notch. They’ve been willing to go to bat for me to make this right. My only wish is that they were local to me!

This shop put the back derailleur on sideways (gravel bike, kona rove). I had taken the bike in to straighten the derailleur, so the job was literally to take the part off, straighten it, and put it back on. I noticed the mistake when I got back home and the gears were grinding.

I have a transaction from your store on 4/13/24 for $16.41 in my cc statement. The price was reasonable considering the simple nature of the task, and the derailleur was straightened as requested. Shortly after I noticed the incorrect installation, I reinstalled the derailleur correctly on my own.

I went in for my first time today to inquire about repairing 2 of my bicycles. The technician I spoke with was very courteous despite me asking him many questions while he was already working on a bike. Although the shop just opened, it was set up well and I look forward to having my bikes serviced there. In addition, the technician mentioned I could leave my vehicle at the store and complete one of the many rides offered on their website. Great place!
