This place has a great selection and Butch on the sales floor was awesome, while we didn't ultimately make a purchase, he was supporting the whole time and didn't pressure us to make a decision we weren't comfortable with. When I'm ready to pull the trigger Butch is getting my business.

While all I said is still true after the first visit it went down hill.. Butch was not available when we returned as he was out of town on business, not his fault. Some things were promised that we're not delivered. There was a huge lack of communication between departments. We were really pleased with the service dept and walk through tech was great. But the sales side seemed like no one knew what they were talking about and did a lot of finger pointing at each other. I did get a camper and it's beautiful. Delivery was great but the sales and finance side was a headache to say the least. Still glad we got our brand new Jayco from camping world but we seemed to feel more and more uneasy as the process continued. Be aware of the difference in sticker price and out the door price and don't expect the sales people to be able to give accurate out the door price or payment info.

EVERYONE at the dealership was great. Greg sold us the used unit, Doug walked us through the orientation, and Bryant did all of our paperwork. Steve and Jason (managers) communicated well and did what they said they'd do. They were all incredible, but everyone else we ran into at the dealership was, as well. CW catches a lot of crap, but we've been dealing with them for a couple of years now (parts and supplies for our "old" toy hauler, and this travel trailer purchase) and have ALWAYS had good, pleasant helpful experiences, at multiple locations. Overall, the people that work there seem to like what they do.

STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!

We’ve heard the warning about camping world and boy we should have listened!! They have a reputation as a trash company for a reason!

The salesmen, while he was extremely nice, wasn’t prepared. They knew days in advance we were coming, we were told we would be working with Anthony. We get there and we get Greg. We knew more about the camper and had to explain things to him and how they worked. Also, why is the guy that’s been there for only 2 months have another new employee shadowing him? I’m glad we knew the unit because they sure didn’t very well.

Nothing but lies from the moment we looked at numbers. I told them specifically do not run anymore than one or two banks at max for financing, so they decided to pull it themselves and then run it through 3 banks. All because between Jason, Greg and Bryant can’t communicate between themselves or to those they asked for help. I get they don’t care about someone’s credit but how rude to be that neglectful. We were strung along purposely into the new year. Once the new year hit, we got ignored. We were promised certain numbers and then they couldn’t obtain that. We told them what we needed to make a deal happen and they said okay, can do and started working on numbers. It wasn’t til we called in to see what was going on that we got any info. Of course in that very moment they “were about to call us”. Now magically they can’t get any approval at all and there was no offer of the original numbers.

They could have had a sale, but decided to be manipulative and shady. Never again will we be dumb enough to look at camping world.

Please don't make the mistake we did. We had seen the bad reviews of camper world and didn't heed them. We had a very specific model that we wanted. From the start communication was not good. We had to call multiple times to find out the status of our financing. We have been in the fifth wheel for 8 days. My Fiancé has had to repair something every. Single. Day. They will make everything look real pretty! Just be prepared to work on it CONSTANTLY. Find better people to work with. We will never go to camping world again.

Bryant in finance flat out lied to us regarding financing and we caught him in a lie and saved ourselves a lot of money. Do not believe their finance dept, as they have deceptive business practices and if they tell you to finance and wait 8 months to pay it or you'll be charged a huge fee....don't believe them as you do not have to wait!! Also Bryant went through a whole presentation on why we need to buy waterproofing after a service guy already told us that they did it, so we didn't have to buy it. So Bryant was just lying about that, too, knowing it was already on.
We bought our 2023 Rockwood Freedom 1940LTD at the Richmond Indiana Camping World in May 2023.
Finance guy, Bryant, talked us into financing it, when we wanted to pay cash, because he said we could pay it off early, they would give us money/credits, and still come out ahead if we would finance instead of paying cash. Then he LIED to us and made up a story about some poor older lady getting penalized for paying it off before 8 months and not understanding why she was penalized this huge fee that was so much money, so we needed to keep the loan open at least 8 months and wait to pay it off. When we were signing the papers I said "there's nothing on this paperwork that has anything to do with 8 months". He said that the bank would charge us, and to TRUST him. He also said the interest wouldn't start until the first payment was due...not the first day of the loan. I didn't believe him, so the next day after we picked it up, I drove to Park National Bank in Kenwood OH and asked the teller there and she checked with her manager and said there was NO FEE for paying it off that he was talking about. I then asked her about finance charges and when they started and she said that it started yesterday and was already $45 if we paid it the next day. She went and spoke to their manager and said she had the same interaction with another customer that very same week, so this is a regular business practice by their finance department apparently to LIE to customers in order to get kick backs for talking customers into financing. Anyway, I paid it off the next morning and called their GM at Camping World Richmond, Barry, and he couldn't have cared less. He didn't even care that Bryant lied to us and he told us he was such a nice guy. They've since hired a new GM. This past summer, one of the sales guys, Andy, called me and I told him everything and he said he would pass it along to their new GM. Then customer service called and I told them the entire story and they said "thanks and I'll pass it along". Bryant is still there, so they must be thrilled with his business practices.
Their service dept charges a huge set up and walk through fee, but the person they assigned to us said he hardly knew anything about pop-ups because they don't sell many....so why was he showing us and them charging us a large fee? He sat on our bunk end without the supports, cut the tie down to one end because he didn't know it was part of the camper and thought it was packaging, told us the propane tanks were full (they were not) and told us a table was in the camper (it was not).
When it had things break and not work, we chose not to take it to them, and instead took it to CW Huber Heights (another mistake and story) because they had shown us and told us that they didn't know much about pop-ups at CW Richmond.
Just be warned not to go to Camping World to purchase a camper because of these reasons, and the people that are there that the GM is fine with how they do business.

Everyone couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We bought an older camper without much knowledge of how to use it. Had a problem with the propane system and they fixed it in one day and then Andy showed us everything we needed to know about camper.! It was awesome service.

We just bought our first travel trailer at Camping World in Richmond, IN and had a great experience. Or sales rep, Barry, took the time to get to know us and our needs before showing us 4 or 5 options that might fit us best. He was extremely knowledgeable about the whole RV industry and lifestyle. He was easy to talk to and never overbearing or pushy. Pick up day was just as smooth as shopping day. We were trained on the various systems of the trailer by experts in each area and had some time to shop for supplies in the store before we left. We also left with contact info from several people should any questions come up in our adventures. If you're looking for an RV I would definitely recommend checking out Camping World in Richmond.
