Last week I found a skateboard at Ron Jon in Ft Myers. Felt itchy after years since the last time so I bought it. I couldn’t get off it between that day and now, and I’m 56!! ?. I knew after a couple times at the local skatepark that I needed better wheels. Off I went. After meeting Stephen at the store this morning, I said to hell with it make me a board. He did and now I can’t get off of this one... Much better. Been 36 years, but here I go. Thanks man!

Something for the whole family! My husband was thrilled to see a fly fishing section and got the flies he needed, the skateboard section appealed to my kids and my daughter and I loved the clothes selection. The staff were remarkably kind, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this shop!

I grew up surfing on the East Coast in the late 80s…Moved out west in the late 90s… And then to Southwest Florida in 2022. I became interested in surfing again when I unexpectedly experienced some fun waves at the north Jetty near Venice Beach. I was considering going to the shaper I knew on the FL East Coast, and then found out about Compound Surfshop. I haven’t experienced customer service like this establishment in many many years. It doesn’t matter if you’re ordering a custom board, buying a hat, or something in between… Staff are very passionate and care about what they do. The shop has an instant welcoming vibe the moment you walk in.. I worked with Zach on a custom board order, and his knowledge, attention to detail, and customer service were exemplary. I highly recommend this shop for all your boarding needs in SWFL!

Walked in to buy some boards for my family and the guy at the skateboard desk was totally disengaged with us. I regret dropping 700$ on 3 boards-you didn’t earn my business for sure. Not with that unhelpful Walmart style vibe. Unwelcoming to little kid trying to skate. Whole reason I was there was for my kid. Drove 2 hours to this place on the recommendation of a prior local who frequents the shop. Never again. Good luck with that dude at the desk.

Staff is amazing! Educated me on surf skates and let me demo till I was satisfied! They knew price was an issue for me and that the board I wanted was only available as a demo. The owner approved and they sold me what I believe to be their last yow pyzel surfskate demo board at a killer price and man do I love it. Took it straight to Payne park and tore it up. Can’t wait for all the fun I’m gonna have on this board! Thank you Compound family
