Great service and even better people. They created a custom marble bar countertop for me about five years ago. I had a crack that happened on Christmas Eve and they came over the same day to fix it right before my party above and beyond service.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This company is an absolute joke and is not capable of providing services which they claim to be able to provide. Our kitchen countertops, backsplash & bathroom countertops are complete HACK JOBS and unfortunately, we are going to end up completely replacing everything that we just paid to have put in. There were obvious red flags from the beginning, but we were in a time crunch so we continued to move forward.
1) Rescheduled more than 4 times!
2) Cashed our deposit (22 days prior to install) & contacted us 2 business days prior of install to inform us that our chosen slabs were no longer available. They tried to blame MSI saying they didn’t hold the slabs, so I personally contacted them and they informed me this company is notorious for this. They also let me know that they had my slabs all the way up to two days prior to their phone call to me!!!
3) They tried to have me pick from emailed pictures of new “similar” Slabs which they had in stock to keep my install date for Monday. I chose to drive to Indianapolis and pick some thing from the stone yard they recommended. I ended up finding some thing and the stone yard shipped it out immediately!
4) I get a call Monday to…. Let me know they have to reschedule me again!!! At this point, we have rescheduled contractors multiple times due to this company and their scheduling issues. Also, they knew the week prior they weren’t going to be able to get these slabs cut due to their own scheduling issues, even though I made sure I was meeting all deadlines given to me!
5) Finally to install—The first day they installed my sink run, about a 6 foot run of counters with sink in the middle. THAT WAS IT! The seem looked horrible but they told me they would be doing them all at the same time so I trusted the process.
6)The next time they were out to install, again ONLY ONE countertop for my back wall cabinets! I tried to stay out of their way while they were working, they installed it and left. I then went to look at what they did and realized that they broke the whole corner off of the countertop and attempted to glue it back together!! Yes, they were planning on leaving it this way! I immediately called the main office, voiced my concerns and sent pictures. I was then told they were going to fix it when they installed my island.
7) Next install was my island. 13 foot long by 4 foot wide. I was very aware that there was going to be a seam line in the middle because of how large it was. However, this seem was overfilled and underfilled in spots (as shown in photos).
8)Back splash was put up and the face of it is completely chipped off from them cutting it(shown in photo). Also, corner of backsplash was also broke off.

This is the finished product. A complete HACK JOB. We were offered no sort of compensation for ANY of the trouble that we’ve had, or bad fabrication problems. This set us behind schedule almost TWO MONTHS! This company has no clue what they’re doing. The workers are scummy and simply do not care about what they’re doing, even vocalized during install they “couldn’t wait to leave and hate having to drive all this way”.

Bottom line is this is NOT QUALITY WORK OR OWNERSHIP. I spoke with the owner multiple times through this process, and even met with him in person and got absolutely nowhere. I have also been contacted by two previous employees letting me know that this is typical of this company. One even stated that they will go as far as getting their negative reviews deleted.

We are choosing to take legal action due to this. Luckily, for me, I have kept a paper trail along with all of our phone calls and urge anyone who does business with them do this too! I hope that this review is able to help someone else not make the same mistake we did!

We purchased our countertops through Custom Stone and the process was smooth from start to finish! They made sure I had seen all selections until I found something I absolutely LOVED and that went well with the style of the rest of kitchen. Curt came out to do the measurements and was very knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions we had. We had a section of our island with a post built into it, and he was confident and knew exactly what would need to be done in order to template around the post so that everything would be flush and look like it belonged there. This is definitely what brought our whole kitchen together! We also got our sink here and is one of our most complimented pieces in our new kitchen!! Great experience!

Chris and his team at Custom Stone did an excellent job for us from start to finish! We've used them on more than a dozen of our rentals for stone countertops, and they've always come out looking amazing! They handle all of the measuring and installation in a reasonable time and it is well worth it. We'll continue using Custom Stone for all of our stone projects!

We had a good overall experience with Camille at Custom Stone. We're happy with the final products we received. Camille rejected a few slabs received that were not like the samples we chose rather than try and push them on us anyway. They did miss several opportunities to put the cherry on top (5 stars) and really make their work shine. It would have been nice if the installers cleaned/vacuumed up their mess and wiped down the counter tops post install. When they felt they were finished they said bye and walked out the door. The only time they busted out the vacuum was when they drilled the holes for the faucet, but everything that fell down they left it where it lay. The installers should have canvas drop cloths on hand to lay down over carpet rather than wheel the counter top cart across the lawn, into the house, and then over the carpet. The pulls we selected for the cabinet were not on hand for install, we chose from what they had available at the time of install, we liked those too thankfully. We asked about brackets for the overhang bar counter, but they did not seem to have any to select from. We should have ordered our own. The installers were unaware of our request for bracket supports and they came up with a set of 4 L brackets that look like they were freshly cut from stock material. They were very very sharp at the edges right where your knees are when sitting on a stool at the counter, I spent a fat hour grinding them down. I would have liked for them to have an install option to seal back up the backsplash to the counter rear splash, I'm sure there's a price that would make it worth their time to do. We found Camille to be charming and likeable in all of our interactions. Do no try and BS her, she can smell it when it walks in the door. The installers handled a bunch of curve balls and did a nice job but were clearly not hired for their disposition or cleanliness. I know it doesn't make good business sense to have skilled laborers spending time cleaning and doing simple jobs, so maybe they need an apprentice?

We recently gave our kitchen an update. Custom Stone made difficult decisions so much easier. Camille’s recommendations of choices were spot on, whether it was appliances, countertops, cabinet hardware or paint color. I couldn’t be happier with the end result or the journey to attain that goal.

We have used Custom Stone on multiple new construction homes for both kitchen cabinets and countertops. They have provided us a full list of options in cabinets and countertops, competitive pricing, top notch design services and great customer service. While it is common to find a cabinet / countertop provider capable of being good at one or two of these, Custom Stone is able to accomplish the rare feat of excelling at all of them.
