Grundman's put me back on the road to running. They knew more about sesamoiditis than the doctor I visited. They fixed me up with inexpensive custom inserts for my shoes and work boots. Many trips there for boots and running shoes. Thank you!

The ABSOLUTELY BEST handmade custom shoe in the USA, bar none. They have retail shoes-yes (nothing but quality is carried) but they have been KNOWN for top notch/hand made custom/made shoes since 1929. They are still owned by the Grundman Family. A true American original.

No one ever came out to speak to us. Maybe you need to call ahead with this place. My daughter is an athlete with lower spine stenosis. We were looking athletic shoes and school shoes. It looked like they primarily carry shoes for diabetics. My sister recommended this place, but I would not. Call ahead at least if you decide to give them a try.

Went in on a Saturday morning early with my wife and we wondered around almost 15 minutes and nobody ever came from the back rooms to wait on us. We couldn't even hear anybody anywhere..

At my dad's recommendation, I went to Grundman's to get a custom pair of shoes for my weirdly-sized feet.

They measured my feet and I picked out what I wanted, etc. All good there. But when I received the finished product, it was not size 12 6E like I ordered, but size 14 -- two sizes too big on *custom* shoes.

When I came in to pick them up, I kept tripping on the long toes, I slid around in the shoes because they were way too long, an oddly-narrow aperture for my ankle bit into my ankle causing pain, the arch support (being size 14) prevented my heel and toes from taking pressure (because I am size-12) resulting in me painfully walking only on my arches, etc. I suffered wearing them for 2hrs around town, and went back to figure out what was wrong. Tracy seemed aggravated by my return, and I ultimately ended-up purchasing a different pair of insoles from them for my brand-new "custom" shoes. I ended-up having to take the shoes home without further investigation or reworking. They were so painful to wear that, after returning home, I never again wore them. I did get them measured professionally: size 14. I got myself measured professionally, too: still 12 6E, as Grundman's had measured me. About $550 for this mess. I tried to get a refund, because there's no adapting shoes 2 sizes too big to fit your feet healthily or comfortably. (They were basically clown shoes.) Mark agreed to cover the cost of shipping the shoes back to them (after two weeks of diddling around not taking my calls) so they could inspect my claim that the shoes were the wrong size, but he refused to accept a refund and even hung up on me, promising to call me back on Monday... which he didn't, nor did he or anyone else take further calls from me. (Context: custom shoes are no refunds, which you agree to when you order them; but that is contingent on them being *custom*, and these were *not* custom to my feet.) I sent Grundman's the shoes so they could inspect them, as we'd agreed... but they, against their word, did *not* reimburse me for the shipping. Then, instead of calling to discuss the situation, they sent the shoes back with a shim below the insole, to raise my feet -- a joke given the situation, and incapable of solving the fact that my brand-new, $500+ "custom" shoes were the wrong size. Grundman's also stole (or at least withheld) one pair of the two sets of insoles I'd sent to them with the shoes. At this point, I finally initiated a dispute with my credit card company. And much later, at over 6 months since the start of this mess, I finally got all my money back.

This experience was beyond, *beyond*, unacceptable. The people running this place tarnish the good name of the Grundman who ran it when my dad was a kid. I will never set foot anywhere near here again.

Went into the store & Mark waited on me, He's very professional & courteous too by the way. They had to order the boots I wanted because of my big foot. Got the boots & they are perfect. I also ordered the BOA technology. These boots are the best boots I have ever owned. Thanks Mark

Went to Grundman Shoes to replace two pairs of Boots that I suspected were causing multiple issues with my feet... I had already done my homework... and thought I had a plan...

I had called first and asked if they had the Brand and Style of Boot I hoped to find, and explained why it was so important to be fitted properly... that Shoes and Boots are the most important item we wear... and that the Consequences of neglecting what we wear to Protect our feet can literally leave us unable to walk.

Even though I had planned on making an appointment, I was invited to Visit that day.

The young woman that Greeted me was both very Enthusiastic and Helpful... and was willing to help me order what I had planned on... but, I could sense that she and others were studying my walk and gait... and had listened carefully as I explained my own foot issues.

It would be almost 2 hours before I left...

... and it will be about a month until the Boots I need are ready to try out.

You see, I am not not getting the Boots I thought about ordering...

... Instead, I have been carefully measured and evaluated by Professionals that are now in the process of building Boots meant just for me... and I know that these are just the first steps in a Relationship of the kind that I find myself very Humbled to be involved in... with Artisans that Genuinely Care about so much more than just selling shoes in my case.

It is the Art of Bespoke Shoemakers... and I am so Blessed to be Guided to what I need by the young woman that Greeted me at Grundman's.

Grundman shoes has a wide variety of shoes to choose from.

There is only one issue that I have with them and that is they do not accept insurance payments.

They can build the shoes and other items that you need right on sight.

The staff is friendly and courteous and extremely helpful.
