I have been meaning to write a review. My co-worker & I were visiting in mid September. Everyone in the store was truly amazing. Customer service was exceptional. I am not sure of the manager's name at the time, but she went above & beyond. Telling us about other stores in the area, even walking us out & pointing us in the right direction. Give this lady a raise! This is what exceptional customer service looks like!

I would like to leave two reviews for this place. The first is as a buyer. I find the store to be very organized, very very clean, and the women who work there are amiable and friendly. When I'm in the store and looking around, they are always helpful when I have questions. The ambiance is great, serene and no blasting music. I find the pricing is fair, and the quality of merchandise is very good.

Secondly, I have consigned hundreds of pieces from couture to to the higher in brands they carry. Most of it has sold, and they are always quick to cut you a check for your percentage when you go there. It's a well run business.

Love this store! I had a business meeting late afternoon one day and after a long day already, I wanted a different outfit to wear to my next meeting. I rushed into the store and found the cutest dress, the ladies working found me shoes, a bag, and earrings that were just perfect with the dress! I was out the door in about 15 minutes dressed in my new outfit and ready to go for my next meeting!

If I could give this business zero stars, I would. My experience with this establishment and its owner was beyond disappointing and unprofessional. Let me start by saying that the owner, unfortunately, cares about one thing and one thing only: money. Customer service, respect for her employees, and maintaining any sense of professionalism are completely out the window as long as her profits are intact.

Throughout my time dealing with this business, I encountered countless instances of utter disorganization, mood swings from the owner, and a complete disregard for the well-being of anyone around her. The owner seems to have two modes: completely indifferent or borderline hostile. It was clear from the start that she has zero empathy for her staff and customers, showing no interest in solving issues or providing good service. Instead, it's all about how much money she can squeeze out of each person, regardless of the cost to her employees or the quality of the product.

The constant mood swings were incredibly unprofessional, especially at the expense of her employees, who were left to deal with the fallout. It was as if she woke up on a different side of the bed every day, and unfortunately, everyone else had to pay the price. Meetings were canceled on a whim with no notice or explanation, which left me scrambling more than once.

And if you think that's bad, it only gets worse. The owner allows two older ladies to run rampant through the store, and it seems they are above reproach no matter what they do. These two are treated as if they can do no wrong, despite constantly meddling with the inventory, consignor items, and store operations. Their interference was not only annoying but actively harmful to the business. Yet, the owner turns a blind eye to their behavior, almost as if she's afraid to hold them accountable. It's clear they've been given some sort of "untouchable" status, which makes no sense because they're the root of many of the problems the store faces.

One of the most frustrating issues was the frequent disappearance of consignor items. I can't even count the number of times something we had consigned would mysteriously go missing or be misplaced. No explanations, no apologies, just gone. It was like the place was a black hole for inventory. I've spoken to other consignors, and it seems to be a recurring issue. Things would vanish, and nobody seemed to care enough to track them down. Again, it all goes back to her blatant disregard for anyone who isn't padding her pockets. She also has her system set to where if your item is not sold after your 60 days on the floor 100% of your items profits go into her personal account. All around very shady business

The complete lack of professionalism, constant chaos, and utter indifference to how the store is run make this business a nightmare to deal with. If you care about your time, your consignor items, or your sanity, I highly recommend staying far, far away. The owner's volatile behavior, combined with her unwavering loyalty to a couple of employees who are actively causing problems, has turned what could have been a decent store into an unorganized mess where customer and employee satisfaction are completely disregarded.

The only reason given for my termination with this company I was told was “the owner no longer being able to afford to pay her employees” but here she is saying I was hungover and late for work which is 100% false to try and save her face from the truth being exposed to the public. I was also once shorted $300 on my paycheck with zero explanation. I unfortunately had to track her down once again to get it from her. She will do anything besides TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY for her wrong doings to customers & employees which is scary to see from a so called “business owner”.

Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere.

Since Beth has taken over the store as the new owner, there is a significant difference and improvement! I’ve been a customer of High Society for 15+ years and am happy to see the store come back up to the standards I’ve come to know!! Carla, the store manager, is great as are the rest of the staff!! I’ve been going to High Society at least once a month for years loved it but honestly lately I get grossed out going anymore the place smells like used dirty shoes and clothing feels like your at the goodwill. Please think about maybe some nice candles and nice music. I love the workers and the owner I really want this place to succeed.
