I had THE BEST experience with Hodson’s Bay!

My 7-year-old son’s bike needed repair and Dave gave us BY FAR the best deal and service in town.

I had visited a competitor for an estimate just prior, and after being ignored for the first 5 minutes after wheeling our bike into the shop, I was given an $85 estimate that included mostly items I didn’t come in for.

I’m so glad I sought a second opinion.

At Hodson’s Bay, I was greeted immediately by Dave even though he was helping another customer. He took one look at our bike and said if I could wait a few minutes, he could probably fix it on-the-spot.

Moments later, Dave had fixed all of the issues I related from the previous estimate for a price that was MORE than fair. He told me that one of his pet peeves is when businesses take advantage of people—I mean, could this guy get any greater?!?

Hodson’s Bay should be listed FIRST in the Google Search for bike repair in the Lafayette, IN area!!!

My son Jett was even more thrilled than I to have his bike back in working order. We simply can’t thank Dave at Hodson’s Bay Company enough! 🙂

My experience at Hodgson's Bay company was excellent. I did not know what to expect. I was excited to see a bicycle I was interested in a few other quality bicycles on hand. As I entered the store I was greeted by an associate while he was helping another customer. I felt welcomed and was able to explore. When Dave was available he came and asked if I needed some assistance and was very helpful with all my questions.
If you are looking for a quality bicycle I would definitely recommend Hodson's Bay company and Dave.

Just stopped in today to get my bike fixed after getting hit by on a car on campus. The staff was so friendly and they were able to get my bike up and running immediately. The owner was so nice and humble (he's clearly very knowledgeable about bikes), and took the time to adjust my handlebars and seat better. I loved the energy here, there was no judgment for my lack of bike knowledge and everyone was so helpful. If you need to take your bike somewhere to get fixed I would highly recommend this store.

Good place to get your bike serviced. I brought mine in for an adjustment and it took about 10 days, was cheap at $20, and my bikes shifts pretty decently now. Most of the bikes for sale look pretty high end and are priced as such.

Fiendly, reliable, and great pricing! Hodsons is my go to place to get a tune-up. I have used them around 5 times now. They always go above and beyond and let me know everything that needs done. They give you an accurate price estimate before you pay and I have only ever had to wait for a week or less before my bike was finished. They are the best place in the lafayette/west lafayette area.I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get a bike fixed or tuned up!

Nice guys......But not very knowledgeable of dirt jumpers or BMX bikes. Called ahead to confirm that they had some sort of knowledge of these type of bikes and they said yes.
They don't understand the pressure and the amount of abuse these bikes go through on jumps, trails and concrete parks.
Only 2 jumps in on a 20 jump course. Chain tensioner bolts came loose, crank bolts came loose, disc brake bolts came loose.
Crank bolt backed out far enough to snap it in half. Most bike shops that deal with dirt jumpers and BMX bikes know that blue loctite keeps bolts tight when on rigorous courses.
$300 later and now I have to take all the bolts back out and put loctite on them. For $300 I'd expect the bike to last longer than 2 weeks.
If you ride just to cruise this bike shop is fine. But they're not serious mountain bikers or BMXers. Their knowledge is limited of those types of bikes and their lack of knowledge it's going to get somebody hurt one day.

I appreciate the gashed shin and sprained wrist from y'all's incompetence.
Stick to beach cruisers and road bikes. Don't even bother telling people you know about BMX and dirt jumpers.
I'll make sure myself that this bike shop gets passed around the BMX community so nobody else gets ripped off or hurt.
$300, what a waste of hard earned money......

Used to be a great shop, but no longer a Trek shop. Now I know why-brought TREk in for seasonal tune-up and move to tube-less tires (with run flat tires-and add the run flat fluids) OLDER tech says "Make sure you rotate them and keep adding air until they stop leaking"..or words to that effect-never held air after that-money wasted (I dont care about Spring Break bike techs-fix it right-new management is total loss)IMHO..never go here again...
