Poor communication and service.

I called there yesterday to ask if they can add a couple holes to my leather watch strap. The lady I spoke with on the phone said they can and I asked if they had a punch that was longer/more oval to match the existing holes. She said they have a variety of punches and shouldn’t be an issue. She also said it was $1 each hole, which I thought was fair.

I go there today and hand them the strap, they bring it back out with two round holes that are poorly centered. I asked if they have a punch that will match the other holes and I was told no, even after mentioning my phone conversation the day prior. Also, they charged me $5 for two holes, not $2, when I mentioned this as well I was told they don’t know where I got that info from.

I will not return to this store, this is a handmade leather strap that I am going to end up having repaired/remade by someone that actually knows how to work with leather.

I was finally recommended Leathers 4 U after 6 shops could not do what I was looking for. Susie took on the project of replicating some saddle bags off my late father's 72 Harley. I can not say enough about how they turned out. They did an amazing job! Thank you to everyone at the shop who had a hand in it. You guys got it perfect.

Went to Leathers 4U II in Antioch, IL with my material and needed their help to create Grab Straps for my Bucket Bags (purse). They created exactly what I wanted, charged me a very reasonable fee to make my straps and were super nice and awesome to work with. Highly recommend this store for all your leather or bikers needs!!!

I took a leather jacket for cleaning conditioning and dye it had some faded spots when I took it in the lady said they were able to dye it no problem the leather was in good condition went to pick it up couple weeks later the all the fading was still there they kept it to dye it again I picked it up today and now there is still fading and in some spots it’s gloss black and on other spots it’s matte black I pointed it out all the lady said is they did all they could and that sometimes that happens they did a crap job I’m never coming back here again and I don’t recommend them at all they are moving from Antioch to Fox Lake they should just close for good ……. No anger more disappointed than anything I wasn’t expecting showroom quality but I also wasn’t expecting to have spots on my jacket I would have liked to have been asked before you made the decision to use a gloss black dye on my jacket because my jacket is not a gloss black or you could have told me that the job is above your skill level or that it can’t be done but you didn’t you did a crap job just to charge for a service

Don’t recommend. $45 to sew on 3 patches… 2 shoulders patches on sweaters and 1 on a hat. Ripped one of the sweaters, and I don’t even know how to begin with the hat. Nice people don’t get me wrong, but I have had 1000s of patches sewed on my stuff over the course of my 10 years in the military and in numerous countries…. never had I seen such a poor job. They clearly felt bad, and I felt bad for them. They can keep the $45. I’ll look else where, lesson learned.

*in response to business* I wouldn’t say you tried to make it right at all. You just handed out excuses. A typical good business would have said I can’t do that job before not after. The hat $25 patches 2 @ $5 a piece and sweater $65 was ruined and my time was wasted. You don’t get to fix that. The $45 charge for 3 patches was a joke but I wasn’t told until after the items were taken in back to be worked on. I shouldn’t have to haggle and tell a business how to make it right. A good business does it themselves and says “sorry we need to fix this… we messed up…”. I was in no hurry to leave. I was just blown away by the poor quality. After being recommended to you. A typical bad business and people generally blame others for their shortcomings… you should have just excepted the bad review. You know and saw how bad everything was. Don’t try and put that on me. Why would I stick around after seeing what you did to three different items? As any place I visit upon recommendations. I review the place. If you’re upset then hold yourself to a higher standard.

I recently visited this store, and let me tell you, I was impressed! The variety of items this store has to offer, along with the quality is AMAZING! I had the pleasure of working with the owner. She was so friendly and incredibly helpful. She was able to special order me a coat that I liked in my size, in whatever color I wanted! I purchased a belt, earrings, a jacket, a wallet for my husband, you name it, they've got it! Excellent quality, excellent customer service! I will definitely be a return shopper!

I had a portion of my hand severed and was hoping a “custom” leather shop would be able to cut a couple fingers off a glove and sew it back together.the woman was rude and basically said we cannot do that and continued talking on the phone.don’t bother.I’m not sure what they consider custom, but they really suck.
