This review is solely on the bakery and the disappointment I have had in my experience with only the blueberry muffins.

This is no exaggeration when I say that EVERY TIME I have purchased a blueberry muffin I am disappointed because it usually has only 1-3 blueberries.

This photo is from yesterday where I found ONE blueberry in the entire muffin. One. For costing nearly $3 and being a bakery, I would expect more. It’s really frustrating this happens every time when I have had an impulse to stop in to the bakery. Never again.

I don't KNOW how I never heard of this Italian restaurant 😕. Nonetheless, I have been back twice making the 1 hour one-way drive time. We'll worth it! The pizza, the pastas, and the sweets selections and dry goods. My new found fav location nestled downtown SB 😍. Y'all have to check it out, also you'll feel different about getting so-called Italian pizza/ pastas from other restaurants 😋..

They remodeled and it looks great inside and looks more inviting to stay and hang out. They have baked goods, gelato, pasta, coffee, pop, and can buy pasta and sauce to make at home along with other goodies. The staff is nice and prices are up there but made from scratch baked goods so of course be on the top price side. Has off street parking.

The things I could say about this place is endlessly positive. I can't say I've ever been to a place where the lady taking care of us was so awesome it was truly a life changing experience between the service and the baked goods.

We traveled up to the area for vacation and searched for the best donuts in the area and they did not disappoint. Not a ton of donuts were left but we were able to try a maple glazed, some cannolis, a couple chocolate peanut brittle things, an eclair, fudge cake piece, peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, and Boston creme donut. It lasted us a couple days of breakfast but my goodness, they are great. We got some coffee as well since they do their own and a lot of places are kind of hit or miss but even that was great.

Then came the little cookie treats the girl gave us because she wanted us to try them. The almond cookie, danish cookies, sugar cookie, and chocolate drizzle cookie were the best cookies I've ever had bar none. They were so soft and melted in your mouth with a delicate little crunch, 10/10 all day.

If you're in the area and you don't stop by, you have no idea what you're missing in life in bakery form.

This place is the absolute best in town. Absolutely a gem if you love italian cuisine at its finest. Homemade pasta, wow. The cannoli are amazing, too!

First time ever coming here. Staying few days in Michigan, seen this place on the news talking about Pączki's sooooo drove down to South Bend to check them out !!!! The line was sooo long got a number 993 they here in the 940's. Didn't take long. They knew there stuff and was just getting it done. The staff were super SWEET and even tho packed they helped me sooo much and didnt rush me. Soo to what u need to know. EVERYTHING WAS SIMPLY AMAZING !!!!! NO MORE will i go to a box store to buy Pączki!!!! This place makes these 1 time a year for a limited time. I will forever now come here

Carmela & her team are truly fantastic and we were SO happy to work with them to make the cake for our wedding in August 2022 at Notre Dame. The cake turned out so delicious and also looked gorgeous. It was exactly what I always imagined! Carmela is so wonderful to work with and we loved getting to do a cake tasting with her. We had to delay our wedding by 15 months due to covid, and we did the tasting before we knew we had to move our date. Carmela kept our selections and everything organized during that time which was so helpful since we live out of town and it wouldn't been difficult to do a second tasting. We froze the top of the cake and just tried it on our first anniversary and it was still delicious! We will forever be huge fans of Carmela & Macri's Bakery!!

this place is amaaaaazing. we showed up 15 minutes before closing and bought about $40 worth of pastries and cookies. highlights: BEST carrot cake EVER ong it was so delicious I'd drive back just to get it again. pistachio cheesecake was wonderful. thumbprint cookies were fantastic. and the cannolis were so good i didn't want to share.
