The Beamon Home's Mary Ann's Place is probably one of my favorite places to go in Warsaw, Indiana. I've been a lifelong thrift shop enthusiast and love the thrill of finding unique decor, and as a single parent, inexpensive clothes for myself and sometimes my kids. I began going there to thrift, and search for hidden gems and treasures, but soon gained a friendship with some of the women there!

It was nice to have a place to go and interact with other adults after work. To talk about my children's achievements, and get some insight on how to navigate some of my parenting obstacles, accomplishments and fails. A couple of weeks ago I was driving home with one of my kids, Ev ( Evan Bickel ) and decided to pull in to try and kill some time and see if we could find anything cool.

When we pulled up we noticed that it had just closed. So we backed out and I pulled away.. Ev said, 'Dad, Michal just came out and yelled your names. I thought about coming back the next day, but was really excited to tell them what Jesus had been doing in my life. I circled around and they invited me inside. Michal said they were just talking about us and that they had found someone to adopt us for the holidays!

I'm so grateful to God for working through them and blessing our family with overwhelming love and respect! Thank you for taking us in, for always being there when I needed someone to talk to and giving comfort when it felt like all hope was lost. Thank you Mitsy and Michal... I appreciate your kindness and pray God returns the blessing that you passed to both my children and myself.

This place is supposed to be four people who are in need of help, mostly mothers and children people every time I come in here it's a bunch of old ladies fighting to get to the new stuff that they put out. You can hardly walk in here and all the children's clothes are just thrown into a bin and most of them are raggedy clothes. The place is an absolute joke
