Amazing place, more importantly amazing people. I am new to world of archery and they took the time to walk me through everything. They set me up with a new bow while tuning it specifically to me. I was shown proper form and shot for hours(in a good way) to make sure everything was set perfectly. For every piece that went on the setup I was shown multiple options and got great explanation of the differences to make informed decisions, I never felt like I was pushed to purchase anything specific. The level of professionalism here is unmatched. Me and my family will be going here for years to come. I appreciate you guys greatly!!!

Brought my bow in last week for new strings, and I'll be going back for all of my bows! They did a great job and made sure I was comfortable with how it shot before I left. I ended up getting new arrows, and quiver, scent control products and boots for the whole family. Very happy with the prices and service. Great people.

Let’s get the whole story on here. Arrived at 11:00, an hour before closing time. I had a cam that needed a half twist in it. Brand new cable on the bow that had just been shot in and had stretched a little bit. I also needed a piece of d-loop cord to replace the one on my rest.

First they wanted to try to get me to look at new bows. My Elite is top notch and less than I year old. I asked to get timing fixed. He tried to convince me my brand new strings and cables needed to be replaced because of slight serving separation.

He spent the entire time talking up Beat bows, which is what he sells, but there’s no need to bash on the biggest brands in the industry.

He offered to put a new rest on my bow. Basically he wanted me purchasing something. I know it’s a business, but an archer coming in to get a half twist put in a cable isn’t always going to be interested in buying new stuff, especially for a bow that’s less than a year old.

He then put my bow on the scale and I guess it’s not pulling 70lbs anymore, normal with new factory strings to stretch as they’re shot in. I asked him if I could get the cables twisted up to get it to 70. He didn’t do that, just told me that he could but there was no point because if they stretched that bad, it wasn”t going to hold.

I asked again if he could just get the cams in time then. He finally did that. Then I asked for the loop cord to replace it myself on my rest. He got me a foot of it. 3ft of that exact material costs $7 at Scheels, which is no bargain store itself. He charged me $15, not as a foot of cord but at 3x four inch d-loops. He also charged me $35 to get a cam slightly advanced. He didn’t twist up my cables to get my poundage up like I asked either, even after he measured my axle to axle and pointed out that it was off.

Had he done what I was asking, which isn’t unreasonable, twisted up both cables to get the poundage fixed and retimed them, I wouldn’t be writing this review.

I didn’t praise anyone while I was there because I’ve never dealt with them before and he wasn’t just doing what I was asking him to do. I surely didn’t bash any archery shop except Scheels’ service after the sale. That’s just plain dishonest to reply with. It shouldn’t be personal, they seem like nice people, but it’s ridiculous to price gouge that much for BCY material and it’s also ridiculous to charge $35 for bow servicing when you don’t do what’s being asked and what you did do should take a couple minutes at most. Instead of trying to constantly sell, maybe just taking care of what someone’s needs are would have gained you my future business and bow purchases. Now that you’ve just been dishonest in your reply, on top of just poor service to a brand new face in your shop, and not just taking care of the issue, I’m happy to recommend other places to people.

Spencer has a great shop called Southern Archery. Belmond has a wonderful place called Iowa River Archery. Both of these shops have top notch service and very reasonable prices on higher quality products.
