Horrible. Go anywhere else to have your shoes repaired. I took three pairs of boots to be repaired and I was told they would be done in a week. Six weeks later I went back to pick them up and he couldn't find them. We looked everywhere in the shop and finally found my boots thrown in the corner on the floor behind the counter. One boot was missing and we found it in a pile of other boots across the room and none of the boots had even been touched. He said they would be done in an hour, I came back two days later and they still weren't fixed. He asked for another hour, when I came back two hours later, the boots weren't done and he had one of my boots paired with someone else's boot! I drove from 45 minutes away and made three trips to have my boots repaired. Never, ever again will I go here for shoe repair. Pretty much any repair shop on the planet would be better than this place.

I dropped off two pairs of allen edmonds dress shoes and they came back destroyed. I drove 45 minutes three times to pick them up and they were never ready. The shop is destroyed, he has no clue what he is doing. I am hesitant to ever write a bad review, but I hope I save someone else some serious time and money. He banged in a new heel on both pairs after three weeks, while I was in the store to pick them up. I had to send them back to Allen Edmonds because both heels fell off the next day.... The best part? One was so destroyed that Allen Edmonds refused to even work on it and gave me a $75 coupon instead telling me that I should "throw them away, they are not repairable now." Take your business somewhere else. The work he did wasn't even worth $10, but somehow ended up running me $350 to pay for his work and the repairs as a product of his work. I have worked with some amazing cobblers in Chicago and I really have a ton of respect for the craft, but he does not know what he is doing.

Had work shoes repaired here. The repair took nearly 2 months-he cliamed the soles were on back order. After the repair was complete, heels were uneven and not wearable. Not worth the $85 dollars to repair the shoe.

Whatever you do, don’t go here. He took my boots 3weeks ago, told me he’d have them done in two weeks and I even gave him an extra week. When I came back to pick them up, he couldn’t even find them ($400 cowboy boots). When he did finally tear his store apart to find them, they weren’t even fixed. He then berated me and told me that it was my fault. I drive an hour one way to come to this shop and will never be returning.

He said my shoes would be done in a week. He had not even started and it took him ten minutes to find them. I waited over two weeks more and he still wasn't finished. I think they look worse than before.

I was really happy with the quality of craftsmanship. I took my Danner's to him because the original soles started to dry rot. And he did good work replacing the soles. Also, the owner of this store is a good spirit. Just a good person. I would trust him for future work 100%

I went to this establishment Mr Boots and Shoes to get some blue shoe polish, because I trip over a high sidewalk not paying attention and a small scuff mark on the tip of my new shoes. However, the Man himself told me in order to fit the little mark on my shoe he would have to used blue dye. I responded as if he were crazy. Are you kidding ? are you serious?he responded yes I would have to dye your shoes. I left and went down the street to the Concept Shoe Repair in Fairview Heights Illinois or Swansea Illinois and ask the man behind the counter if he had some blue shoe polish to fix the little mark that I made on my shoes and he sold me a small twist-off top of blue polish by Pate de Luxe ( SAPHIR ) and for this reason I gave Mr Boots and shoes two stars and yes I will go back to the Concept Shoe Repair review and rate Concept Shoe Repair and I'm just saying

What a great shop. Took a leather guitar strap to be fixed and it looks better than ever. Price was quoted day of drop off and was ready within the time frame. Would recommend for your leather needs.
