For years, I’ve been coming to Once Upon a Child and have been so pleased with the amazing customer service and support. It is a great place to sell toys, clothing, books, and shoes that your child has out grown. It was my source for the always needed holiday tutu to dress up Halloween or Christmas pajamas for the school pajama day. I truly appreciate the store and great customer service from Latricia, April, and Tanisha.

DO NOT SHOP OR SELL HERE! Worst store. I went in around 10 this morning & returned at 4 pm to find out that all items were passed with no explanation. The young lady in the front who took my items had an attitude & it escalated after telling me my item had a stain & proceeded to tell me to put it in the donation bin. She did not look at my items! There was a lady who brought in a bag behind me and they immediately started sorting her items while mine remained on the counter. There are other bassinets in there WITH similar stains as what she pointed out. Very unprofessional and needs to be addressed.

It was a Sunday August 25th knowing their hours are different I called and asked when is the cut off time for selling clothes the young lady tells me as long as I get there before 6 so I drove 30min with my 2 year old son and arrived a little after 4pm. The moment I walked in instant attitudes saying it’s going to be over 2 hours and we close at 6 hoping I changed my mind but once I informed her about me calling she went ahead and decided to take the items still hoping I change my mind. Noticing they clearly don’t want to so I offered to come back the next day she then tells me they can still go through it and notify me of they finish the same day or if I should come the next day. Over an hour later no notification and it’s 5:55 I called no answer. So I get there right before 6 go in and they act like they have no idea where my things are then realize she didn’t follow through with anything she says and deeply apologizes. I go back to my car and my doors are locked with my child still INSIDE. I run back inside tell them what’s going on and asked to use their phone to call 911. One associate was on the phone and kept with her conversation the other associate with her cell phone in hand frantically looks for the OTHER phone. I call 911 the associate still on the phone carrying a conversation the police operator barely hears me over her she then gets an attitude for having to get off the phone the operator ask for an address they just looked at each other and continue to rest on the counters. I gave the best description I could of my location. Every one is safe but these two associates should NOT BE WORKING AT A PLACE FOR KIDS

I recently had the displeasure of bringing a tote of high-end, organic and bamboo cotton baby clothes to Once Upon a Child, only to leave completely appalled by the incompetence of their staff. The items I brought in were gently used and from premium brands like Kickee, Rags, Quincy Mae, Mebie Baby, Romie Loves Lulu, Loulou La Dune, and Pepa London—brands that cost a small fortune and are sought after for their quality and style.

After waiting for over an hour, I received a call informing me that all of my clothes were being rejected because ONE single item had a few cat hairs on it. Let me get this straight—your staff couldn’t take 30 seconds to lint roll a couple of hairs or remove one piece of clothing from the ginormous tote that was otherwise fine, so instead, you turned away an entire tote of beautiful, high-value clothing? How does this make sense?

To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. Whoever made this decision clearly doesn’t understand the value of these brands and would rather stock cheap, tasteless items like Garanimals and Carters (which, let’s be honest, don’t hold a candle to the quality I brought in). It’s laughable and a huge loss for your store.

If I were the owner, I’d be furious at the amount of money being turned away because of arbitrary decisions like this. You’re supposed to be a resale store for quality children’s clothing, but it seems your staff lacks the knowledge and effort to uphold those standards.

Never again. Good luck. Cheap inventory and poor judgment.
