I recently dropped off a few pairs of very lightly used sneakers at Once Upon a Child for cash. While it is not at all about the money for me, I was shocked by how little I received—just $18 total—considering the high quality and brand of the shoes. I can guarantee they’ll be resold for much more than that per pair. The entire experience felt like a scam. On top of that, the customer service was disappointing; the staff was rude and unhelpful. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend selling your items here.

went in today to sell for the first time today and won’t be back to this location not even to buy clothes. staff is rude for no reason. the lady working this morning has an attitude problem and was rude. she gave me attitude about not having lid for one of my totes. and when i had asked her if they texted when they were done she was rude about it. like girl this is my first time? took them 3 hrs to look through my stuff when i was there at opening. when picking up later i noticed 4 of my items laying on the side of a bin that wasn’t mine and she had already placed the bin of what they were buying on the counter. when i asked about them they tried to tell me they weren’t mine. well they ended up being mine and they did give them back. idk something seems fishy at this location. the staff definitely needs a reality check.

Beware!!! Horrible experience!! I drove all the way to this location with my twin 2 year old toddlers. One sleep and the other cranky, only to be turned away because the items I wanted to sell were in a canvas tote and not a plastic basket or container. The reason was because items can fall out of a bag!? Umm items can fall out of anything that is open including a basket?!! This rule is not posted anywhere so they just turn people away all day because of this. They are probably just lazy and don’t want to look through clothes so they will find any excuse to turn people away. They have terrible customer service. If you don’t like your job go find a new one.

Every time I go into this location, I feel as if I get eye rolls because of the amount of items I bring in. Almost as if they don’t want to have to go through everything. Someone else made a comment that they feel the teen workers don’t actually go through everything and I 100% agree. I brought back the same bins of clothes I previously took in and they went through the same clothes and gave me money the second time. Funny how a second look may make a difference.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! The staff is absolutely awful, no experience with being kind or having good customer service skills. Pay these girls in there a little more so they WANT to be there or feel better about faking it til you make it!The vibe is so sad. Or just fire everyone and close it down.

Don't bother trying to sell anything here, God forbid there be a speck of dust on the clothing, all my clothes were washed beforehand. I brought 4 totes and they took nothing. Very unprofessional service. Their website needs to have actual instructions so you don't waste your day.

I called in advance to inquire about the closing time for purchases at Once Upon a Time in Denton, and I was informed it was 7:00 pm. However, upon my arrival at 6:06 pm with items for sale, I was told they had already stopped buying at 6:00 pm. Despite explaining that I traveled from Sanger, the manager declined to accept the items for processing the next day. This experience contrasts with other locations, like McKinney, where they have better staff, more accommodating hours, and, seemingly, a more customer-friendly approach to accepting items.

Can usually find good deals, but you have to know your prices. Something are the same price new. They have good sales. Bought a ton of stuff for $50 ( you have to look). Take your time and you can find some great deals.
