Paul replaced stitches where I had caught the leather and pulled them on one set of RedWings and he replaced the worn heel on my other set. Both services together were cheaper and far faster than the factory service would have been. They'll be better than new when I hit them with a coat of leather oil this weekend. Thanks and keep up the great work.

I had a really good experience getting two pairs of boots repaired here. Work was completed as described and on time. The cost for the repairs seemed reasonable but I don’t have much to compare that to. Paul was responsive and direct in email communication. I would definitely encourage anyone to check it out if in the market for shoe or boot repair. And for what it’s worth there was a line when I went to pickup my boots. I took this to mean the shop is popular.

Paul and his wife are such wonderful folks. They are kind, friendly, courteous, professional. I have a specific problem with my feet and toes, poking holes in the toe boxes of all my shoes. I brought the problem to Paul and he knew exactly the problem and how to fix/correct all my cross trainers and trail runners. If you have any type of issues with your work boots, hiking boots, snow boots, sneakers, trail runners, cross trainers, running shoes, etc if its with the material, leather, the sole, even work reattaching waterproofing, the seams of shoes, please bring this work to Paul and if he cant fix it or find a solution then nobody can. Also, his shop is historic, the machinery, tools, etc a fascinating shop. He even does miscellaneous leatherwork, I even saw one customer get repaired a very expensive pocketbook that she liked. Awesome people, awesome shop, awesome work. Its about the people and their craft and Paul and his wife are exemplary.

It is becoming much harder in recent years to find any cobbler to work on old favorite footwear. To find a good one, with a fine customer service attitude, is even harder. Paul is easy going, highly experienced, and willing to offer good advice in addition to fixing your footwear. He was willing to order in special materials for me to deal with an unusual situation. His work is first rate and fairly priced, especially when you consider the cost of new shoes and boots.
