Took my baby to get groomed and he seen Heather for the first time, from the moment we walked in she greeted Kobe patiently and was able to make him feel safe (he can be super anxious) she also was able to trim his nails which I don’t think any other groomer elsewhere was able to because he gets too nervous😭
Definitely will be seeing Heather again 🤍 thank you for being accommodating, patient and loving

Funny how low star reviews don't stay on PetSmart website.
I see it as Children calling themselves professional groomers. When booking appointment they ask if dog has special needs. I typed in, for my 13 year old border Collie, that she has arthritic front left and right rear legs. I had to leave my email, phone number so if there is any troubles I would think they would let me know.
I get there day of appointment she sees the notes and says we can't groom your dog because she will have to stand for 2 hours the lady said at first. I was floored by that response, like she didn't want to take on a new customer. She said that my pup will have to stand for the whole bath time, she will have to stand through whole dry time and she will have to stand for an hour for the grooming..."We can't trim her pads if she's lying down", WHAT 🤯 I said. She continues saying "Insurance won't let her lay down while we groom her, if she falls off the table we can get sued".

I have groomed for 32 years, I have taken dogs to groomers for 44 years and I never heard that answer before nor have I ever had a dog stay standing through a bath or a grooming session. It is soo much easier to groom a dog's pads and an entire dog if they're lying down and showing their bellies, not standing up that she inferred.

How can you call yourself a professional groomer when you can't handle the dogs needs? A professional will know where the dog is and how the dog moves around on a table and prevent any injury by keeping an eye on them, that is 75% of the job, keeping the pets safe.
Not by being lazy saying insurance won't let us. I'm sure insurance made that note because of immature, lazy children calling themselves professional. I'm so happy I found this out before leaving my girl with them.

On Nov15,2024, I visited the Waterbury, CT. store#3283. Not long after entering, I was approached by a PitBull and its handler John O. John O. is an employee at this store. The dog made attempts to reach my dog, so I took the initiative and walked away to a different part of the store. John O. and his dog again came close and his dog again made attempts to reach us. I ask John O. to short leash his dog and put him on his other side. John O. became irate and began threatening me and went as far to invite me to a fight. I spoke with the store lead and sent an email to the store manager. I was told by the store lead Rob k. that if I were to contact corporate, nothing would be done because it all would come back to him anyway. SO THEY HAVE AN EMPLOYEE WHO IS A LIABILITY, SEEMS TO HAVE DONE THIS PREVIOUSLY (according to previous reviews) and the store lead Rob K. seems not to be interested!

BE CAREFUL WHILE SHOPPING IN THIS STORE!

I usually don’t do this, but this happened to me few times I am extremely upset! First time I took my fur baby there they did a great job with grooming. However, everytime I will schedule appointment with them they call me the day of my few min before appointment and cancel on me stating they can’t groom my fur baby due to he is shy, and scared. But I took him to another groomer and they had no issues with him at all. Second thing, they said the person I scheduled the appointment she wasnt experience groomer, how I suppose to know if you are experience groomer or not when scheduling appointment, when it’s not described when scheduling. They always tell me to schedule my appointment during the way week, sorry but like any other working individual I have work, so I can only do Saturdays. Never again!!

Zero stars. Do not order your pet prescriptions here. The pharmacy is a joke. Not organized, vet approvals lost. Do not recommend.

I was there on Friday and Will NEVER RETURN...went for a grooming, told them not to cut hair too short and they basically shaved my dog completely..

Will not be bringing my dog here again. I brought him once when they were on Bank St. and when asked if he had Heartworm, i answered honestly that he did. He is an excited dog for sure, but not hyper or aggressive and always sits well for the vet and groomer. After only a half hour of dropping him off for his service, I get a call from the tech saying he was ready but needed to be picked up as soon as possible because they weren’t supposed to take him at all since he had Heartworm. Because of this, they did not dry him off, brush his teeth, or clip his nails like I had requested. His nails were so long and that was the main reason I took him to get groomed in the first place. I took my dog again today to get groomed. I had to wake up early and bring him there on my day off and once we got there, we had to wait for several minutes. Once we finally got checked in and I signed the paperwork, the tech came out and looked in his ears. He noticed his ear had a tiny bit of blood in it. I explained to him that his ear sometimes gets dry and itchy with the warm weather and he scratches it. I also explained that I have ear drops from the vet that I put in his ears when that happens. Long story short, they told me they could not take him because his ear was irritated. Clearly he needed it to be cleaned. So I went all the way there and waited for no reason. We will not be back!
