My husband and his friend inquired about renting kayaks, the owners husband and wife were nice at the time..long story short, they have old shotty equipment and when it was brought up to the owner that certain parts on the kayak were broken..the husband totally flipped out..Basically telling us that "other people are rough on stuff and what's he supposed to do, explain how to use the kayak"
ummm yeah if you rent kayaks I would think part of that is explaining what to do and not to do...
I'm sure we won't be going back anytime soon

We rented two of their small motor boats to fish on Butte Lake. They were very helpful and accommodating. Huge selection of fishing supplies. This husband and wife team are the best and we will certainly return.

They were very helpful; especially for first time jet ski renters/drivers. They made it super simple and enjoyable. Virtually no effort on our part. Great selection of all kinds of lake necessities!

These guys are doing an excellent job running their family owned store. Carol, who was at the front desk was very friendly and accomodating to our group to return our floaties after business hours. Absolutely recommend and support this business. If I am visiting this area again, will totally stop by!

They have really stepped up! Their inventory is awesome they've doubled the wall space and are carrying much more for Salmon fishing. And parts too, I'm so glad we have some place on the west side of the river to go to rather than Chico!

Carol and Karl are the best. They have great equipment and helped us with some inflatables so we could be in the lake on a hot spring day. Even though they were busy they treated everyone the same and even let us return our equipment a little after they closed, thank you!

Very nice place to rent your water activity gears for enjoying on black butte ladke recreation area. They have lots of options, reasonably priced and very helpful. We rented two kayaks from them for a day and it was through enjoyable experience.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. She should us maps of Black Butte Res. so we knew where to go. We rented a kayak and had an amazing time!
