I do like my Redwing boots. Have had them for 5 years. Thought I would take them in for the first time to take advantage of the free for life conditioning, oiling, and laces. Went back the next day to pick them up to only see that they had only wiped some oil on them. Didn't even try to condition them or even clean them a little. Wiped oil on top of dirt and called it good. No new laces either. Was a waste of time.

Great work and play, boots and shoes. I bought a pair of laceless BOA system boots. They use a winding ratcheting knob to tighten up even and as snug as you like with a cable. They quick release by pulling out the knob and this works great. They stay snug all day with no laces hanging loose to trip on. After 8 months, the cable caught on something at work and came loose.
I went to this store, they were very nice, even gave me a bottle of water, put on a new cable in 10 minutes, and my boots were like new. Excellent! They are a bit more expensive, so 4 stars. But I wear them almost every day, so it's worth it to me to have well made, comfortable boots.

They’ll go the extra mile…or 30!
I ordered a pair of boots during a Red Wing visit to my employer. Couldn’t remember where I asked the boots to be delivered, so I called Red Wing in Pooler to figure it out. Instead of having me pick them up or ship the boots to my house, the store manager brought them to my home (over 30 miles away)! Excellent customer service and friendly staff. I’m already a Red Wing man, but they will have my business in the Pooler branch no matter where I end up.

The store I visited was a small Red Wing branch and had a few customers ahead of me. The staff was polite and helpful despite being busy. I narrowed down to 2 different boots, both were unavailable in my size. However I got a different color with the upgraded puncture resistant shank. First time to a Red Wing exclusive retailer and will go back for the next pair.

Honestly the best experience I have had with Foot wear in more than 20 years. I have worn just about every other work boot available in the last 2 decades. That said, I don't believe I will never buy another boot that is not a Redwing. My lower back pains and sore knee pains have almost completely gone away after making the switch to Redwings. Their staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting the footwear that best fit my needs. Their work boots are so comfortable I wear them all day long. Even weekends when I am not working. Just stopped in today and buy a quality guine leather belt and work socks. Will let you know how they work out.
