I debated submitting a review; however I feel my experience could offer assistance to future customers. Terry (owner) and her in shop ladies are wonderful! They know their product, have a good eye/feel for what will work best for each client's body type & fashion comforts. The beginning of my experience was great! They helped me find a dress that should have been wonderful. I was informed when I paid my deposit that alterations are included in the sale price (thus did not expect to pay additional for alterations only the remaining sales balance at pick up.) The night before my next day 10 a.m. appointment to pick up my dress, I received a text from the seamstress telling me we need to reschedule. Unfortunately, this did not work for me. We were 2 weeks out from the date of our event, I live over 2 hours away, and I was scheduled to work every remaining day up to the event. Seamstress asked me to move my time to end of the next day so she could "finish" the alterations. I agreed. When I picked up my dress, all alterations were not completed. Simply the hem length had been altered. Nothing was taken in or tucked as had been marked. Then when I went to check out seamstress informed me I owed an additional $125. I explained that I had not anticipated this as I was told at the time of sale that alterations were included in the sale. In general, I HIGHLY recommend Terry & her shop. I just caution customers to 1. Tell the shop your event date is sooner than it is (in hopes of getting your garments finished alterations on time.) 2. Alteration costs are not included in the sales price contrary to what they informed us at the beginning.

Wonderful place to find formal and casual clothes. They are very knowledgable. The mother of the bride found her dress here! Worth the drive. Make an appointment so they can spend time with you.

Make an appointment I think. Never heard of this place until I came for a bridal appointment near by and stopped in, but they are generally unhelpful without an appointment apparently.

An amazing little clothing store for women in Wabash. The ladies in here are very in tuned to the styles, the sizes and the customers who come in. The price tags are high yes but the clothing and dresses this shop carries are high end. I will drive an hour any time for my dress needs! Very impressed. Kudos to all who work here and Terri, take a vacation soon!

Never have I received so many compliments about any dress I have ever worn than my dress from The Francis Shoppe. Terri is great at what she does and can pick the right dress for your body type and style. Plus they custom fit the dress to your every desire and concern. (They can adjust the mid section, hide your bra straps, put velvet across an area that might chaff, etc.) The drive is worth it if you want to look your best and feel confident. They have an amazing selection but it is their customer service that really sets them apart. I cannot recommend their shop enough.

I'm not a girly girl and I hate shopping, but I needed a dress for an upcoming wedding. They listened to what I told them I was looking for and off to the dressing room I went. They picked out the dresses for me to try one and I ended up buying two summer dresses. One for the wedding and the other just because I loved it. I received compliments all night at the wedding about my dress and everyone asked where I got it. Will definitely return in the future.

We cannot recommend this shop enough! The most unique and beautiful collection of dresses perfect for mother of the bride/groom dresses. The owner is very professional and caring. She has a magic touch to make sure the dress looks and fits to your body perfectly! Years of experience and knowledge make her highly credible in knowing what will work best. Worth the cost and drive!Personable service, gorgeous dresses, and expert fittings.

I hadn't bought a dress since my wedding dress, and they fitted me and made me feel absolutely fabulous...I wouldn't go anywhere else...they will have it...having Terri as your assistant is just the best. She will tell you if it looks good or not. She had me try on things I would never have worn and I looked great. Make an appt, go there...you will not be disappointed. There isn't any place like this around. An old fashioned store with the most up to date items. Love it..can you tell? 🙂
