I have been to a dozen or so gun shops all across Maryland and Tyler Firearms is definitely in the top 5 for outstanding service and value. I recently visited the shop for consignment services and was very impressed with the ease and professionalism from start to finish. Their consignment fee of 10% is the lowest in town, so if you have something worthwhile to sell, come to these guys to get top dollar. Eric and Jake were very helpful in getting my consignment firearm competitively priced and displayed for a quick turnaround. Believe it or not, my firearm sold in only a few hours after I dropped it off, so I couldn't be happier with the results. I decided to use my consignment proceeds to fund a shotgun purchase through Tyler, which was a win/win. Since I opted for store credit vs. cash, the 10% consignment fee was waived and I would only be responsible for paying sales tax on the difference of the new shotgun. There were a few moving parts to this transaction, but the communication between myself and the staff at Tyler Firearms was excellent. I was notified immediately when my consignment was sold as well as when my replacement shotgun order had arrived (1 week turnaround). One other cool thing worth noting, these guys have an online presence with an active website that they update frequently with current inventory, both new and used. This is very convenient for those that like to check in every so often to see what they have in store without doing so in person. Overall, beyond satisfied with my recent transaction and can't wait to do business again!

Tyler Firearms is a great FFL and dealer. I have made two transfers via buds gun shop through them and both times have been a great experience.

They have notified me within minutes of the arrival each time to come down and complete paperwork. I wouldn’t rely on that 100% of the time as I am sure they get busy but that’s been my last two experiences.

If you are sick of waiting in long lines at big box stores, and want a one stop shop, Tyler Firearms is your place.

I have purchased several things from Tyler Firearms, and every visit to the shop is a great experience. Everyone working at Tyler conducts themselves professionally. I've had really good discussions about ammo types and modifications I can install to make my shooting experience better. 11/10 service in my opinion.

I also took the opportunity to sign up for the HQL/Wear and Carry class offered by Tyler Firearms and taught by Mr. Andy Knaster. The class exceeded my expectations and I enjoyed every part of it. I appreciated the smaller class size as it allowed for more discussion and questions. There were some really good questions that were asked, and Andy provided clear and complete answers. I also appreciated the inclusion of conflict avoidance and deescalation tactics- the best conflict is one you never have to engage in. Andy is an excellent instructor and serves as a great model for what it means to be a responsible firearm owner. The class kept my interest the whole time and everyone there seemed to enjoy the class as well. Sometimes you hear stories about CCW classes being hyper-political and filled with bashing the left, but my experience was the complete opposite. Sure, laws were discussed and criticized (as they should be), but at no point did I feel less than for having some leftist views. Mr. Andy Knaster runs a great class, and I highly recommend taking his class if you want your HQL/CCW.
