Everyone we dealt with at Vanhunks, Sarasota, Florida, were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Their customer service is excellent. They prices are very fair. They let us try out the pedal Kayaks on a lake and were very helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Their warehouse is very good and a pleasure to visit. We also bought a kayak lift from them and the two guys who came to our deck to fit it, were again very helpful and friendly. It was a pleasure to do business with them. I highly recommend them. We recently purchased the 13’ elite fisherman kayak. We choose the fin drive which my 13yr old son absolutely loves!!
Very easy to maneuver and gets up to speed quickly.
The owners Tyrone and Ivan are a true representation of how a business should be run!!!!!!!! Their customer service is some of the best I’ve ever experienced and their attitudes are just great! I can’t say enough on their professionalism!

We have been wanting kayaks for some time. “Did our own research” online. Came by Vanhunks first and was met by Seth. Tall young man. Told a few things. We then went to another store in south Sarasota and promptly left it and went back to Vamhunks and bought two kayaks. Seth and his partner helped us get them on the car and was extremely helpful in all aspects of the purchase. If you’re looking for a kayak for sport or leisure, this is the place.

What a wonderful overall experience! We bought a 10'6 Induna and we absolutely love it. My wife is a paddleboard pro but I am 260 lbs with poor balance. This board was perfect for both of our riding styles. It's very stable and I am always comfortable for a long, slow ride while she is able to cruise a little faster and do her favorite yoga poses. The customer service was outstanding, the family is very knowledgeable and offers helpful tips to make a well-informed decision. We enjoy taking the pup along as well, it has become our new favorite pastime. Thanks Vanhunks crew!

I had one kayak, a Lifetime Angler before I purchased my second kayak: a Shad 10'4" from Vanhunks. Talk about an upgrade!! Ty, Dave and the Vanhunks Family are amazingly informative and engaging. They made sure I knew what was what and who did what, and "coaxed" me into buying my Shad. (Product practically sells itself...) I've been a Shad rider for 2 summers now, and I am in LOVE with it, as well as the ongoing customer support. Hands down, they support your investment by investing right back into you. Vanhunks is my Water Wife, and till death do us part!!! Very well worth looking into and even talking to Dave or any sales team members to better your water based outdoors experiences!! Again, they care about your investment and do everything in their power to help you increase the quality of your time on the water. 100/5 stars.

Edit: the Shad is such a stable yak... I have no problem standing and casting anything from weightless senkos to 7 or 8 oz of lead and bait. And trolling with the fin drive is fuuuuuunnnn, as well as an excellent no-impact excersise. Supreme comfort for my 5-8 hour excursions. The seat is comfortable and the deck is roomy. Added some marine deck foam padding for sound dampening and grip.

Fantastic staff here. They have a passion for what they do and it shows. I spent a good half an hour here asking questions on roof top loaders for my kayak as well as basic loading questions. I bought some attachments for my cross bars and the tips they gave me made my task much easier. Going back today for some straps.
They have better quality accessories here than you find on Amazon.

We were so happy to have found this store after searching for an affordable tandem kayak with very little luck. Many of the ones on the market either have hard plastic seats or useless storage areas. This one fit our needs perfectly and does a great job holding us both of us steady on the water. The best part is that their kayaks are sold as a complete package so everything including the comfortable seats, paddles and rod holders was included! The only design flaw that we found which we may remedy ourselves is a cup holder that was molded into the rear seat but the bar goes across it...we plan on changing that out with a cup holder that fits in place of the rod holder since we do not fish. We also want to point out that the owners were extremely friendly and quick to answer any questions we had. We really enjoyed chatting about adventures with them and hopefully didn’t talk their ears off. If you are looking for great service and great pricing, this is the location you want to visit!!!
