Today was our first day learning how to ride a foil board. I have good friends in town visiting us in Hawaii and my buddy’s wife treated us to this experience.
Felipe had clear straightforward instructions, made the whole experience lots of fun, and he was an excellent instructor.

I had such an amazing time! My first time in Hawaii and first time at the North Shore. Fillipe was very patient with me as I was adjusting to different gear foiling surfing. He also had a range of gear for different riding levels and conditions which made my life so much easier. I forgot my action camera but but Fillipe was able to catch many of my waves with his phone and it was amazing. Great attitude and personality and a pleasure to be around. Highly recommend and will be back!

Fellipe is a great instructor, and I can't recommend him enough. He's passionate and super fun to learn from. He clearly has tons of experience teaching at all levels, and is a true expert in all ocean sports from kite boarding to foil surfing.

I dropped by Oahu to learn to ride the foil from him last week, because I wanted to progress from kite boarding to kite foiling. He took me out to nice flat water so I could practice while being towed behind his jetski. I had almost no surfing experience going into it, and I can't believe how much I progressed over three days. The first day, I was barely able to fly the foil. The second day, I was flying comfortably, but still struggled with turns and letting go of the tow cable. The third day, I was turning and riding comfortably, and able to repeatedly go over the turbulent wake to transition to toeside. He gave really helpful feedback after every run, and made sure I was pushing my skills to the next level while having fun!

I actually learned kite boarding from Fellipe back in 2021, and still recommend him to all my friends. He's really earned my trust, and I'll definitely come back for the next stage of my progression.

I found Fellipe and Wing Foiling Paradise Hawaii through Instagram. Following his posts on the M2O race, and teaching others how to foil. I had already taken a few lessons from various instructors in NZ and Hawaii. What I was missing was flying on the foil, and found this the hardest bit to grasp.
Fellipe teaches tailors his lessons to what you need, and towed me behind his JetSki to learn to fly. We spent some time focused on regular stance and then goofy, refining after each crash, practising for what I would encounter at my local spot.
I really appreciated his positive vibes and caring nature. We even rescued some girls drifting out in a paddle board.
I’ll definitely be getting more lessons and advice from Fillepe in the future. Mahalo.
