Well worth the trip to this off-the-beaten path Navajo Rug store. The selection is amazing, something for every budget. This store sells locally woven rugs and supports the local weaver community. Learn about the actual weavers who have woven your rug. Also, don't miss the historic rugs on display in the museum. Highly recommend the trip to this store.

I've always stopped by the trading post when I'm visiting the area. I took my kids this time. They loved seeing the traditional rugs, blankets, jewelry and other items. If you want to buy a rug, be prepared to pay for the quality craftsmanship. They are not cheap because of all of the work that goes into one from start to finish. Don't complain about the prices. The person who is working will help you with everything and explain how everything is made. There are also snacks and drinks available. It's an awesome experience because this is an authentic trading post. I'll keep going back.

This is one of the two only over-the-counter trading posts left on the Navajo reservation, and it is incredible! They have countless numbers of rugs made from local and very professional weavers, and it's stunning! There is a lot of history to see in this building and 10/10 recommend!

This is an old style Trading Post with lots of history in a museum for Navajo Rugs. I would highly recommend you stop by and soaking the culture if you have a chance.

Extremely friendly ladies working there. The one even opened the museum in the lower part for us which had some beautiful blankets and rugs on display. We highly recommend this hidden gem!

One of the few historic trading posts still open and operating. Originally started around 1909, it now also houses the Two Gray Hills Weaving Museum, with great examples of Navajo Weaving dating back to at least 1902.

For sale you'll find a huge assortment of Navajo weaving, much of which is in the traditional Two Gray Hills pattern, as well as some silver and turquoise work by local artisans. (I purchased a beautiful silver and turquoise bracelet by Jeff Mute.) Like many of the old posts there is also an assortment of convenience store items. Also the building and fixtures remain much as they have been for decades, providing a glimpse into the history of the post itself.

The real benefit of our stop was a member of the store's staff, who on the day we stopped was Thelma. She was friendly, helpful, and, best of all, knowledgeable about the weavers art, patterns, and many of the local weavers, themselves. We chatted off and on for a couple of hours, and learned quite a lot about the local history.

So, a big shout out and thanks to Thelma, she made our stop well worth while.

Great old trading post. Navajo blanket museum is a MUST SEE! Owner is VERY knowledgeable on the Native blanket weavers of the area.
